Palms Vets feel privileged to care for you and your precious fur family. You place your trust in us daily and for that we are thankful. We appreciate each and every one of you and can't wait to see what surprises 2025 has in store.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Everyone at Palms Vets would love to wish you a wonderful Christmas Day. As we all look forward to sharing a meal with the ones we love this festive season, please remember that not all human food is good for our pets. To avoid an emergency visit to your vet during this time, remember ham, cooked bones, chocolate, nuts like macadamias and grapes are not safe for our fur family to ingest. Instead offer some new toys to keep them busy or a selection of fruit and veggies that are pet safe such as carrots, apple slices or delicious mango pieces, removed from the seed of course. If you suspect you pet has ingested something they shouldn't have, please call 4779 5222 and follow the prompts.

It is important to establish if the parents are close by watching or if the nest is within reach for you to safely place the baby back, as quite often this is the only course of action needed. However, if the baby appears injured or in distress, do not take it home. Contact your local vet ASAP or a wildlife carer at NQ Wildlife Care on 0414 717 374 for guidance.
