With the very warm weather of course still hanging around we would like to take the time to remember to keep your cat hydrated. It's important to always offer fresh water and have several bowls available for your cats 😺

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗸𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻! 💙

This fluffy boy has been in the care of Tropical Queensland Cat Clinic since he was a teeny tiny newborn; along with his siblings he required round the clock syringe feeding and care - just look at him now! Thriving and super cute this little boy is looking for his forever home. His vet work is almost complete and he will be ready to go on the 28th Jan (12 weeks old)

Jason is the leader of his litter who always has something to say! He is quite the chatterbox and insists to be picked up and held and snuggled whenever he can. He has the biggest, roundest eyes that quite frankly pierce your sole so how could you resist a cuddle? He loves playtime with his siblings and is used to be raised around other cats both grown up and kittens, and of course has no fear when it comes to his foster brother big dog! He loves chasing toys around the house and climbing the cat tower with his brother and just check out those whiskers for days! 😻

His adoption fee is $300 which covers his desexing, microchipping and all three required vaccinations - Jason is also up to date with his parasite prevention for fleas, ticks and worms. Ready to go!

Michael is the perfect combination of cuddly and cheeky, he loves to play and chase and climb and has no fear when it comes to new experiences or putting himself at the tippy top of the biggest cat tower he can find! He loves being held and cuddled and promises non stop purrs! His hobbies include chasing crunchy balls, chasing the other cats tails and curling up on shoulders when he can. He would love a busy home with lots of humans and kids or other pets to keep him company and busy! 😻

We know its January, but we wanted to do a special shout out to one of our lovely clients who you might remember was raising money over Halloween with her haunted house display with all proceeds raised going towards the Tropical Queensland Cat Clinic Foster Fund - she raised a whopping $340.45!!!!! 🙀🙀🙀
We are so thankful to her for pulling an amazing event together and supporting something so close to our hearts 💚💚💚
A big thank you to the general public for visiting her display and donating towards our cause as well 🫶

We were so happy to welcome back former foster kitten "Freddie" into the clinic this week for his final vaccination 🫶
After almost 3 weeks in his new home he has well and truly settled in by getting stuck in the Christmas tree, watching tv when he wants and of course convincing everyone he needs more snacks!

Freddie is now known as handsome boy Marty in his forever home and we couldn't be happier for this little guy 💚 He is still the same little smoocher he always was for his foster mummy, so she sure was happy to get in a cuddle while he was here too!
We love you Marty!!

She is a quiet achiever (unlike her rowdy brother) who loves a good snuggle and scratch. She has been raised in a multi cat household along side big dogs and all the noises of your average household so nothing is a real bother to her!
Her adoption fee is $300 which covers her desexing, microchipping and all three required vaccinations - Blair is also up to date with her parasite prevention for fleas, ticks and worms. Ready to go!

Due to a massive influx of babies over the last two months or so we have around 13 babies seeking their forever homes! There will be 9 available for take home adoption on the day and 4 available shortly after (pre-adoption can be organised on the day if you fall in love with one of these ones) 💚
We are excited to welcome the public into our clinic as we host our very first adoption day for our kittens. This is a cause close to our heart and we hope they all find wonderful forever homes! 🏠

We will be posting more information closer to the date but we can't wait to welcome you all in for a kitten cuddle, or to find your new furever family member!

Olfactory and chemical information is a primary means by which cats evaluate their surroundings and
affirm their sense of security and comfort within their core living area. It is important for pet owners or
other humans to avoid introducing odors or substances (eg, detergents, medications, foods, laundry, or
unfamiliar clothing items) that compete with or disrupt the cat’s sensory perception of its environment.

When a cat encounters unpleasant or threatening olfactory stimuli, anxiety-associated problem behaviors
often occur. Marking is an important form of olfactory communication. A fundamental principle of
maintaining a secure and familiar sensory environment is not to punish cats for house-soiling.
