An update on our gorgeous boy Bobby who was such a brave boy for his leg amputation last week 💚

The team did an amazing job and with the support and love from his foster mum he is recovering so well and slowly adjusting to his new life with three legs! What a champion 🏆

Thank you to all the wonderful people who donated towards Bobby and his surgery, with your help we can continue helping those cats and kittens in need 🫶

How could we forget 😱😱😱

Two weeks ago we made the draw for our Halloween Charity Raffle for the Hello Kitty Plush Toys and we have a winner....CONGRATULATIONS to the beautiful Lisa for taking out the cute prizes! It is safe to say that her four year old daughter was very impressed with the win!

A total of over $200 was raised to share between our Kitten Foster Fund and The Kitten Cove so a big thank you to those that purchased their raffle tickets! 🫶

This week was a sad day for the clinic as we bid farewell to our most elderly patient in the clinic, Miss Pearl as she jetted off to Canberra to join her mum in their new hometown 💚

Pearl is almost 22years old and is such a wonderful girl, it has been a pleasure having her as part of the clinic over the last 7 years or so! Dr Mel, Liz and Cat got in some last cuddles before she caught her flight 🫶

We wish Pearl and her mum all the happiness in the world as they settle into the cooler weather 💚

We will miss you Pearl 🥰

𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧, 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙩:

1. Refill their water bowl daily - No one wants to drink water that has been sitting in the same cup all day, not very appetising right? Neither does your cat.

2. Place bowls throughout the house - The more locations, the more the cats prefer it! Having lots of options means that water is never far away!

3. Try different types of bows - Ceramic or glass bowls are best and have less chance of tainting the water! Most cats prefer wide, shallow bowls that enable them to keep and eye on their surroundings while they are drinking! Plus, it also keeps their whiskers from touching the sides!

4. Try a water fountain - Many cats like the movement and freshness of flowing water. This is why you may have seen them try to drink from the tap! There are many pet water fountains you can buy online or from your nearest pet store.

5. Keep water and litter trays separate - Just as you would not want to drink right next to your toilet, cats aren’t keen on drinking near their litter tray. Keep the two in separate rooms!

6. Separate the food bowl - Cats also don’t like to drink near to where they eat. Place their food and water bowls in separate locations.

7. Fed wet food too! Wet food contains about 70 to 80% water so will help your cat get a good proportion of their daily water needs just from eating. If they’re eating mainly dry cat biscuits, they will need to drink a lot more water. If you do switch your cat’s food, make sure you do it gradually. This will reduce the chance of them getting an upset stomach as well as them taking to the new food!

8. Add some flavour - Adding a few drops of tuna juice (from tuna packed in water, not oil) or chicken broth will make the water more enticing for your cat. Just make sure the flavouring doesn’t include too much salt - not the best for cats!

At almost 2 years old Cheetah, the domestic short hair female is searching for a place to call her very own. She is affectionate and curious and loves nothing more then being the lady of the house!

She has been a special patient to our clinic from before she could even open her eyes as newborn. We are looking for a special kind of home where she can be the ONLY cat 🐈

👉Cheetah is desexed, fully vaccinated and microchipped
