All important people have cats💕
🐈 Did you know that Abraham Lincoln was a crazy cat man? 🐈
He adored cats, especially kittens. Shortly after arriving in DC, Lincoln was gifted two kittens by a cabinet member. The president named them Tabby (pictured) and Dixie.
During one formal White House dinner, he fed Tabby from the table with a gold fork - much to the disapproval of his wife. 😹
He was once heard exclaiming, "Dixie is smarter than my whole cabinet! And furthermore, she doesn't talk back!" 😻
