It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our amazing team member Tegan as she starts her new adventure in Tasmania. But before she goes we would like to tell her story of her time at Wulguru Vets.

It all started in 2018 when Tegan brought her greyhound in to see Dr Jakob.. within a few minutes of the consult he had found out that she was applying to vet school and thus offered her a position in our clinic two days a week… this then turned into her becoming our regular Saturday nurse and working full time during the holiday periods, helping the practice immensely. She graduated in 2023 and has been working full time at the clinic for the last few months.

Tegan’s compassion, work ethic, knowledge and skills will be greatly missed by all of us here at the Wulguru Vet Clinic along with her laughter and joyful energy. We wish you all the best on your new adventure and we would just like to say again how lucky we are to have you in our profession.

We have made the decision to open at a limited capacity tomorrow due to the ongoing issue of power outages and will be running off a generator.
All appointments already scheduled will be going ahead and we ask that client’s without appointments please call ahead as we have limited resources available at this time.

CLINIC CLOSED
To all of our clients, we have made the decision to close the clinic as of 10am today. We will keep this page regularly updated and at the moment will be open Saturday from 8-11:30am.

Cyclone update- 8pm Wednesday 24th

We are monitoring the situation closely and at the moment will be opening tomorrow morning for a few hours. The safety of our staff and clients come first and if it is looking to be too dangerous to drive in the conditions we will be calling to reschedule appointments and closing for the day.
Updates will be made on our page regularly to keep you all informed.

With the approaching weather event and public holiday (Friday 26th clinic closed) there are a few things to do:
1. Please ensure pet’s have adequate medication and food. If you require a repeat script please call the clinic ASAP so we can have this ready for collection.
2. Make sure your animals identification is accurate. Such as Microchip details, this is the easiest way to reunite your pet with you in the unfortunate event that they escape, also having an engraved name tag on their collar can help.

🎶I’m making a list I’m checking it twice the vets are going to find out if I’m naughty or nice because Santa Claus is coming to town! 🎶

To make it on the nice list (there’s no naughty list 😉) please start to have a think about your pets needs over this holiday season such as:
- Prescription medications
- Special food orders
- Vaccination certificates
- Worming, flea and tick prevention

We understand it’s a busy time for all however, please get in contact with reception to arrange for any of the above so we can ensure all our furry family members are looked after over the holiday period 🐶🐱
