Please as the days are getting hotter remember to help out our pets.
Bring them inside out of the heat, to air con or fans.
Especially if you have a flat faced breed pug, frenchie, bulldog ect they can find it hard to breath on a cool day, make sure they are out of the sun and heat.
Those that are unable to come in the house make sure they have plenty of shade and lots & lots of water available.

Do NOT walk your dog's in the heat, not only is it hot from the sun but the concrete will burn their paw pads.
If you cannot hold your hand on the concrete it's too hot for your dog's feet.

If you think your pet is suffering from the heat please call your closest vet.

As the day has come to an end, all of the staff at TVC would like to wish everyone a very Happy & Safe New year.

We would like to thank all of our Awesome staff for all of the hard work they have done all year.

As we close today at 2pm for everyone to enjoy Christmas Eve, we are closed for the next 2 days & reopen on Friday at 8.30am.

The Team at Traralgon Vet Centre would like to wish all of our Amazing clients a very Merry Christmas!

It has been a great year, we have farewelled some staff and welcomed some new members to the team.
We have met lots of new clients and their pets & have enjoyed every minute of it.
We hope everyone has a magical Christmas tomorrow and Santa spoils you and your fur babies.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our last full day before Xmas, as we will be closing at 2pm on 24th Dec.
We will be closed the 25th & 26th to enjoy Christmas with our families and reopen as usual on Friday. 🎄🎅

Sweet little Colin was in today for his castration, here he is waiting patiently for the nurse to clip together his cone that will help prevent him from licking his wound site.

Today we had Gigi, Pepsi & Chick in for desexing, vaccination & microchips.

These photos show the 3 stages of the girls day today.
When they first came in, once they were comfortable in their surroundings & post surgery meals.

We had 2 litters of Maine c**n kittens in today (10 in total) to have their vaccination & microchips.
So many babies, so much attitude & look at those beautiful markings 🥰🐈‍⬛

MEDICATION REMINDER

If your pet is on any medications please make sure you have enough for over Christmas.
Please call us and give at least 24 hours notice to get it ready for you.

Also remember there is the Prescription online ordering on our website if you are unable to call during opening hours.

The many faces of Turbo 😆
Turbo came into the clinic last week with a bit of a belly ache.
Unfortunately Turbo thought crocs were for eating and not for wearing on your feet.
Luckily for Turbo he managed not to cause an intestinal blockage & his xrays were clear, with everything moving through as normal.
He was such a good boy and very photogenic 😍 🐕

Lulu, the Maine C**n kitten came in today for a consult & some xrays.
At only 18 weeks old she is the size of your standard adult cat.
Lulu was super friendly and so inquisitive of all of her surroundings 🥰🐈‍⬛

It's that time of year where there are a lot of baby birds around learning from their mothers.

If you see a bird, please leave it be unless it is clearly injured.
Mum is usually not too far away watching.

We have had quite a few young birds in the clinic that have been picked up by well meaning people, well we thank you for looking out for our wildlife there are not enough carers around to take birds that don't need to be in care.

Last week this cute kid came in for a consult due to irritation of the eye.
We managed to help make the eye more comfortable by tacking them.
This helps hold the eyelid so that it doesn't roll and cause the lashes to rub on the eye.

This adorable little mumma came in for her pregnancy xrays today.
Ruby is due next week and it looks like she will be having 5-6 pups.
She was so relaxed on the xray table she was almost asleep 🥰🐕🩵
