💕 A Love Note for Luna 💕

Some matches are just meant to be… ✨

_"We have had Luna for 12 months today (03/02/2025). After losing our first beautiful greyhound, Flash, in December 2023 (we had Flash in our family for 5 years), we decided it was time to welcome a new family member and someone to keep our Groodle, Bentley, company (he was quite lost when we said goodbye to Flash).

We headed to GAP with Bentley and met a few greyhounds, but as soon as we met Luna, it was a perfect match for all of us. Luna is the sweetest dog ever. Fitted into our family like a glove. And now Bentley’s best friend.

She loves everyone, and everyone loves her. We are very lucky to have Luna." 💚 Melinda

A year with Luna, and it’s hard to imagine life without her. 💛 From the moment she joined the family, she brought love, joy, and the perfect companionship for Bentley. Here’s to many more wonderful years together! 🐶💖

Greyhounds might be champion nappers, but when it comes to snacks? They’re all in! If your hound gives you the big, soulful eyes every time you open the fridge, here’s a guide to safe and tasty treats.

✅ Paw-sitively Delicious (Safe Snacks!)
🥕 Carrots – Crunchy, low-calorie, and great for their teeth!
🍏 Apples – A sweet treat! Just remove the core and seeds.
🥜 Peanut Butter – Perfect for enrichment toys—just make sure it’s xylitol-free.
🎃 Pumpkin (Cooked or Purée) – Gentle on tummies and full of fibre.
🥔 Sweet Potato (Cooked & Plain) – Soft and tasty, with loads of vitamins.
🐟 Sardines (in water, no salt) – Packed with omega-3s for a glossy coat!
🍌 Banana – A potassium-packed energy boost.
🫐 Blueberries – Little antioxidant powerhouses!

🚫 Steer Clear! (Unsafe for Dogs!)
❌ Chocolate – Toxic, even in small amounts.
❌ Grapes & Raisins – Can cause kidney failure.

💌 Love Note for Prue 💌

"Prue aka (Pruedance, Prue Prue, Prudy Poo) has been with us since 27 July and has made herself at home. She is the friendliest girl and her tail spins like a propeller when we come home or if we have a visitor to our home. Prue has certainly filled the gap in our home since losing our Whippet Oscar who was 17 years old. From her burst of Zoomie Energy to her Bed Fails. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone considering a Greyhound as a pet - DO IT. Prue has her own TikTok account and has 800+ followers." 💚 Debra

🐾 Love Note Alert! 🐾

Meet Aussie and Swifty, two greyhound superstars who have waltzed into their new home and completely stolen the show! Here's what their adoring new family had to say:

"What an amazing pair of pooches! They've taken to their new digs with a gusto. After giving the place a thorough sniffing over, they tucked in to a big dinner, then selected a couple of prime couch spots and got stuck into a good nap. They haven't looked back since!

Aussie is the sweetest and happiest chap you could hope to meet. He starts every day with a big stretch, and then an even bigger smooch, nuzzling his face into you and gazing up with his beautiful big brown eyes to wish you the best 'good morning!'

His sister, Swifty, is a hilarious ball of energy who gallops up and down the yard, waving her new best friend stuffed toy in the air. Where she goes, Stuffy goes too, like partners in crime. She always has her friend close while taking a nap, or supervising me doing work outside.

Their behaviour and nature are an absolute credit to their former owner. Their energy and enthusiasm for everything they encounter is infectious. It's been less than a week, and they've already changed the whole atmosphere of our household. I find myself looking forward to the next morning's 'hellos!' and as excited to see what the new day brings as they are. I already can't imagine the house without these two happy goofs in it." - Love Leigh.

🌟 Love Note for Bueller 🌟

"Bueller came to us for a foster trial, and we knew from day one that we just had to keep him. He is the size of a horse, but somehow it works in our small townhouse. Thrilled that we have now adopted him, the most gentle giant. He loves his walks and is really good with other dogs. Bueller came toilet and lead trained and is the most obedient boy, so very little for us to do except provide treats and cuddles. He loves to gather things from around the house and bring them to his bed, but doesn’t chew on them… runners, caps, flip flops, remote controls… you name it. My fave thing is when we lie on the lounge room floor listening to records together. Love, Ciara"
