Stella and her ratbag mate, Hercules!
The instructions were simple; “do what you can”.
These two being quite old needed comfort, cleanliness and a gentle hand. While Hercules was a little more robust, having a nice stocky terrier base to work with, Stella was quite fragile with her skin being bald in spots and thinner than paper wrapped around a tiny frame.
They were lovely, delicate flowers 🐾

When 💩 happens!
You bring new member’s into the family and everyone else acts like they weren’t new once. Whilst a great portion of this was created by the kittens, a decent amount was caused because of the kittens 🙄 and as you can see, none of the culprits are in this photo 😂

Today in chateau de le chat, the kittens are doing a spot of safe distance socialising and of course getting an education from Rubber Chucky on all things “NO!” 😂

Lovely Luna came in for a much needed de-shed today. We were able to save alot of her coat given she had some tightly compacted undercoat around her tail and feathers.
She was a good girl!

Funny girl for her front legs, feet, nails, ears… some are just like that!
She got a short hair cut today and a cute face. We will work on that nervous tension.

The kittens have been named after “Adventure Time” characters!

🐈‍⬛Marceline (long hair, chocolate colour)
🐈Tiffany (Seal point, caramel colour)

Both possibly rag doll mix. Definitely different dads. Both very beautiful in their own way.

They have a long way to go before they can find homes. No toilet training. No house training. No familiarity with other animals. No typical social skills like play. Very timid and shy.

Giving them time to adjust to domestic life will help their ability to thrive independently.

I don’t usually wash kittens so young but they were very stinky and covered in fleas. These 2 babies were found together, approximately 5 weeks old.
Updates on their journey to come. For now, they are safe, clean, have full bellies and are cozy.

So Castle and I are in the salon waiting for a client to arrive and thought we’d have a little play.. what are the odds I’d be able to turn the game from fetch to hide and seek?
Managed to accidentally throw the toy up onto the rafters; poor little fella looked everywhere for his Eskimo pie 😂

All the knowledge of a hair stylist; the only difference is I’m doing it on a fidgety, wriggly land shark! 🐾😂
The daylight certainly helps to see the colour transition and smooth blend that was achieved! Now all I have to do is get a photo before he goes outside 🤪

After days of clearing out water in the salon, moving items around and doing everything in my power to get things in order, I came across some colours I was meaning to try out.
One day in the future, I can offer basic tail and ear colouring to customers, only if the dog is receptive of course.
Until then, this is my boy Castle on a lazy Sunday getting a funky hair do. He’s always so proud of himself when he is on the job!

It’s a Mad Hatter’s party so I’ll bring the tea cup!
Lovely, tiny Toy Poodle Lucy was an absolute pleasure to groom today. She could fit in the palm of your hands 🐾
We went for a modified lamb trim today as it’s still too hot for a full lamb trim. She also got clean face, feet and sanitary.

Hello all.

Just a friendly reminder that the best way to give an accurate price for a service is on the day of your appointment where I will be able to take a look at the coat condition to determine how best to proceed.
This process is free and you are welcome to decline the service offered if you disagree with the evaluation.

If your pet is matted, this will fall under the full groom service as tidy up services are generally for well maintained or short hair coats, that don’t require clipping.

I do not offer de-matting services for companion pets. This process is long and painful for both your pet and groomer and often causes your pet unnecessary distress.

If you think your pet may be matted, don’t hesitate to make a booking and let me know if you think a fresh start may be best for you and your pet.

What a little sweetie this 15 week old cavoodle was.
She was in for her first grooming experience today and we did everything we hoped to achieve!
Teaching puppies early helps them to learn that being groomed is a part of life and I am confident that this little girl and her wonderful mum will be the perfect clients for any groomer long into the future!

Thank you kindly for the recent support and inquiries.
For anyone asking for a price list, I offer two basic services.

Tidy up service: price starting from $45
Full clip service: price starting from $65

Both services include a bath, blow dry, complete and thorough brush, hygiene care of the private areas, feet and face, nails clipped and cologne as standard practice with every visit.

A full clip includes the above mentioned with the style of choice eg. Teddy bear, Asian fusion, breed standard, pet trim ect.

Deshed services fall under the category of the tidy up service.

Salon operating procedure:

Booking in on a weekday: I ask that clients bring their dogs into the salon between 9am to 10am. Once your dog is finished, I will give you a text for collection.

Booking in on a Saturday: I ask that clients bring their dogs into the salon between 9am to 10am OR 1pm to 2pm. Once your dog is finished, I will give you a text for collection.

I run a booking service and currently don’t offer appointments (time slots) unless it is for cats.

I’m currently taking cash payments only and apologies for the inconvenience this may cause.

Imagine this hair in his stomach or strode all over the house.
