The last gift of 2024 was a strong healthy c**t by Iron (Ibiza/Hohenstein) out of Furstin Willow (Furst Wilhelm/Cannavaro). A huge thank you to Bellaire Dressage's expert equine breeding vet Jacqui McGregor who was onsite at 2am-5am to help us with a difficult birth.

Bonifaas RDH (Buck) and I completed in our first Inter II at Carlton Performance Horses Dressage Championships. Buck his usual vibrant self added a few extra one time changes being the over achiever he is.

- 15hh - 16hh mare or gelding no OTT
- between 8-12 years, sound with no major injury history
- scope to jump 95 eventing and above safely
- schooling 1m and above for jumping
- novice dressage or above
- easy and safe to take on trail rides, beach etc
- easy to c/s/f
- absolutely no buck, bolt or bite (no vices including wind sucking or anything dangerous)
- must be in work ready to view
- budget up to $30k
- prefer Melbourne area

Bellaire Sambuca affectionately known as Moose participated in a couple of protocol days with Jane Ventura and Sue Chandler in preparation for his competition debut. It's such a privilege to cross train our dressage horses at Balnarring Beach. The latest to hit the beach was Bellaire Sambuca (Sezuan). I solicited the help of Cheryl Weller who I often admire as she trains race horses two at a time galloping down the beach with ease. Cheryl with her trusty thoroughbred mare led Sambuca for his first few beach visits before I jumped on board and followed Cheryl and her mare. Thanks Cheryl 🐴🙌

It's been a bit quiet at Bellaire Dressage. On the 9th January I broke my wrist in a gate accident. I asked the surgeon to fix me like an AFL footballer as I have to work with 700kg flight instinct animals. The surgeon did his work and I had to heed his instructions for the best recovery.
In addition to my surgeon and hand therapists I have to thank my village who supported me at the time of the accident and during my down time.
My family who was immediately on the scene and put up with my whining throughout recovery, paramedics and their green whistle. Tweedie & Associates who arrived on the scene within minutes to tend to the horse who has made a full recovery and is back in work also helped by Norrisa Wheal Smolenaars myotherapy.
Nadja Kadelbach kept the stables running smoothly, Jane Gordon exercised Zoe at the Balnarring Beach multiple times a week, Harriette Stinchcombe lunged and rode on the weekends, her parents took one of the young horses to their property to lighten the load. Dean Binaisse at 888 Racing allowing me to exercise the horses in his water walker. Farrier Martin Alomes for keeping the horses in maintenance mode, Laura Tsindos stepped up with some additional property maintenance that I couldn't manage whilst I followed Doctors orders.
Four months later I'm back in the saddle doing what I love 🐎❤️

Thanks to all those who celebrated with us at the friends of Bellaire Dressage Christmas BBQ. A small token of our appreciation to everyone who supports us and keeps the wheels turning on our boutique breeding and training stable. So nice to enjoy everyone’s company without the horses 🐴 😊 Merry Christmas 🎄
