We have had so many lovely reviews, messages of support and kind gestures lately and we would just like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We also get a real buzz when our dear clients send us pics of their visit. “Chandon” and “Chanel” love coming to see Dr Rachel, even if they don’t like looking at the camera! 🤣

We do love our wildlife!! This cheeky Kookaburra was brought in after being seen with a very sore leg- Dr Meg performed X-rays under anaesthetic and he had a fractured leg! Dr Meg made a special splint for the leg and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students Grace and Cristian assisted her. Dr Meg started pain medication and now he is off to a dedicated wildlife carer until it heals and he will be released back into the wild. All wildlife work is done at our own expense and a token of our appreciation for being able to live in an area that actually has so much wildlife!

SUNDAY SAYINGS 🦉

“This is the Year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac. It calls on you to shed anything that no longer supports your well-being—including the snakes in the grass. To move with purpose, not pressure. To transform quietly yet powerfully. To act with intention and respond with precision. And to let your growth speak louder than revenge ever could.”

-Vex King

2025 is a good year for growth- pay attention to those inner quiet nudges telling you what to do next, follow your intuition and don’t rush things. Trust that you will know when it is time to change stuff 🙏

A huge thanks to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student Angela for all her help over the past couple of weeks. With a special interest in large animals, it was a pleasure taking her on calls to horses, cattle and pigs and our small animal clients also loved her warmth. Good luck with your career, Angela!

Pugs are one of the oldest recorded breeds, originating in China where they were pets in Buddhist monasteries with records dating back at least to 400 BC. They are such little characters and Dr Meg and Nurse Ash loved seeing this cheeky pair!

“Teaching is the act of sharing the knowledge we have been given by others, with the hope that someday in some way, it will again be passed on.”

We are very proud to be a Partner Practice of The University of Sydney and offer a big welcome to Sasha and Allen who are currently on placement with us. From x-raying wild birds with Dr Christian, working up a case of anaemia with Dr Mario, observing Dr Naomi perform ultrasounds, assisting Dr Rachel and Dr Meg with a splenectomy or visiting farms to see horses and sheep with Dr Andrew, both students have been so keen to experience all that our busy practice brings. With Sasha and Allen being the next generation of vets, the vet profession is in very safe hands!

This beautiful chook was not walking peck-tacularly today, but after her lovely caring owners brought her in to see Dr Christian today, she hopefully will be feeling eggs-celent soon. Our vets no yolk work round the cluck to hatch a plan to help your animals. Dr Christian loves helping all species- a real feather in his cap!

SUNDAY SAYINGS 🦉

“Often the most powerful statement is your dignified silence.”

-Unknown

Did you know some creatures like turtles, snails and jellyfish thrive in their environment without the need for vocalisation? Others, like the unassuming rabbit, use other displays of emotion to communicate and live their best life in harmony with others.
