It would have been Rusty’s 11th birthday today. Miss our bestest boy all the time. I take comfort he is running around with his dobe bestie Otto, and no doubt being chased by Ruby and little Mitzy chasing them all💔🥹

It is 12 months today that his heart suddenly took a turn for the worse. His heart rate was super high and he was breathless. We raced him to his vet who was actually closed. Staff stayed back. An ultrasound was done immediately, and meds given to help. He was so much better by the time we got home from 1 tablet.

He bounced back, had a 10th birthday party a few days later with all his favourite humans, and lived a good 4 months relatively well.

I will forever be grateful to our vet and our friends and family that helped us through and celebrated all things Rusty 🐾

Wow 🤩 went to ZenCrown Head Spa today for a package that included a facial, hair spa, massage of head,neck, shoulders, arms, hands and feet. So amazing. Highly recommend if you live in Darwin or travelling here soon. It’s a must 🩷

We have a late checkout tomorrow ready to fly out just after 5pm. Don’t want our holiday to end, but will enjoy getting home 🥂🙏 let’s hope we will be getting an upgrade again 🤞

Today we drove out to Berry Springs Nature Reserve. The reserve was open however the pools were closed so not a lot to see here.

We hit the shops for lunch and then lounged for the day.

Tomorrow as an early Mothers Day present, I have a hair/massage/scalp treatment 👏🏻🙏🤞🥳 Steve will be off to the museum!

First full day back in Darwin.....we picked up our hire car, then went to the WW2 tunnels as we missed seeing these last time we were here.
We then headed to the Waterfront for lunch, and stopped at shops on our way back for chocolate supplies oh and some popcorn I have never seen before 😋

Yesterday was a full day of wonder - swimming in water holes, hiking, a beach tour. And a 5 course degustation dinner to end the day.

Unfortunately today was our last day 🥹 We had an amazing trip that exceeded our expectations, even though we had very big expectations. Can highly recommend Berkeley River Lodge to anyone that wants to explore part of the Kimberley whilst also enjoying great hospitality and the staff becoming like family. We also had the best group of people to travel with and are looking forward to catching up again - perhaps in the Maldives early next year.

We are now back in Darwin and we will mostly be hanging by the pool until we fly home Friday night 🩷

Yesterday we went on a True North all day Helicopter Tour. As well as flying over gorges, rivers, the ocean, and the Mitchell Plateau, we stopped at a place of Aboriginal artwork, Mitchell Falls, had lunch and swam at Eagle Falls, saw the wreck of the DC3 plane crash from 1935, and finally stopped at Atlantis water hole for the scenery and another swim.
An amazing day we will never forget, from the awesome pilot and tour guides, to the meals and drinks packed by Berkeley River Lodge, t the amazing location of the Kimberley.
If anyone gets the chance- do it!
Today we have had a massage, and this afternoon we go on a beach drive with drinks and canapés.

So we have headed to Darwin for a few days before going to - we can’t wait!

After leaving a wet and drizzly Perth, we were upgraded to Business class for the flight 🥂 Landed in Darwin at 30ish degrees Celsius. So we got our room and decided on a quick swim at our hotel. I can’t tag it but it is the Mercure Darwin Airport Hotel. Rooms are fairly average but the pool is amazing. The photos don’t do it justice.

We will have a lazy pool day tomorrow before moving on on Wednesday.

Berkeley River Lodge is only accessible by plane so stay tuned!

We had an amazing day at Tokyo Disneyland…..and tomorrow we go to Tokyo DisneySea.

We are relaxed 😎

Last few days have been great.

Yesterday we went on the Hop On Hop Off bus and did a full loop to see the whole Island and get ideas of places we wanted to go back and see. By the end we had “numb bum chum” so took off on a decent walk. Then we spent a good few hours by and in the pool.

Today we met at breakfast a couple that we had met in the pool the day before, so we sat with them and breakfast went until 11.30am.

Felt like a lazy day so we went to check the availability of the train and Gunnery / Tunnel tour, but the train broke down today, and they are unsure if it will be running tomorrow.
Another walk was in order, followed by a sit at the pool (colder today so no swimming). An early dinner and it will be a relaxing night.

Great recharge after our house move 👌👏🏻🙌
