Inflammation of the pancreas, an organ that helps digest food and produces key hormones like insulin, causes a condition called pancreatitis.

Pancreatitis can be either acute or chronic, with the acute form potentially leading to life-threatening disease. Why are emergency veterinary bills higher than regular veterinary bills? 🏥 💸

Firstly, it understandably costs more to pay experienced staff to remain available overnight or throughout holiday periods - particularly if your pet is to be treated and monitored afterhours in a hospital environment.
