🎄🎄CHRISTMAS LEAVE 🎄🎄

I will be closed from Friday 22nd December till Monday 15th January

Medication orders will still be available during this time

I hope everyone has a happy and safe festive season

01/10/2023

CLOSED!!

Hey everyone, I will be away from Wednesday 11th to Wednesday 18th at a conference to get all the up to date information to take better care of your pets

During this time if you have an emergency please contact your closest clinic, for non emergencies, I will be back in contact after this time

For non-clients - I unfortunately still cannot take on any new clients at this time due to the high workload, hopefully in the new year this may be an option

Also as a general reminder due to the high amount of calls at the moment - if you have a true emergency i.e. snake bite etc - contact your closest hospital for urgent care. Please remember I am mobile only, so I cannot take on these cases and am often booked up a few days in advance

Hey everyone, having some phone troubles at the moment, hope to have it fixed by tomorrow afternoon. Text messages are still coming through but won't be able to take calls in the meantime.

With the hot weather forecasted for Sunday/monday in our region, make sure you have a plan in place to keep your pets cool over this period. Its also a good time of year to recheck your pets first aid kit. A Digital thermometer and oral electrolytes (such as Vytrate) are two important items to have included in your kit 👍🏽

Lots of adult brown snakes spotted on the road the past week between toolleen and Goornong. Keep an eye out, especially when walking pets 🐍

Buzz and daisy are enjoying the sunshine this morning 😍 hopefully it stays out. Have a good weekend everyone!!

Hi all,
Just wanted to check in and say how grateful I am to those of you who I’ve seen this week and asked if everything is going ok after watching the SBS insight program on the vet industry. You are honestly all an amazing bunch of clients and I’m so grateful to be part of this amazing community meeting you all.

I’ll be spending the weekend catching up on some jobs around the house and admin work (not that exciting!), but only a phone call away if anything goes wrong 🙂

With the weather starting to cool down many dogs will start experiencing more joint pain from their arthritis. It can be expressed in many different ways from limping/ lameness, an inability to quickly get to a standing position, a reluctance to jump, exercise or play, or becoming more aggressive/grumpy

Pentosan is recommended as the main treatment in arthritic patients. It is a product that helps to reduce the effects from arthritis by;
• Thickening the joint fluid to act as a better lubricant and provide more cushioning in the joint
• Improving blood supply to the joint
• Limiting cartilage deterioration
• Promoting new cartilage formation.

It is a course of 4 injections at weekly intervals given under the skin then booster injections given at intervals of 1-3 months depending on your pet’s needs.

To book a home consultation to assess your dog’s arthritis and treatment plan, send a Facebook message or phone/message 0439329487

Hi Toolleen and surrounding areas

It’s been a busy couple of months setting up and getting the mobile service up and running and I appreciate the support of the people who have already utilised the service. I hope to start using this page more for updates and general information as I progress

A couple of housekeeping notes:

1. If you are starting to practice social distancing and do not wish to travel to a clinic with your pet, I am providing house calls for basic consultations and vaccinations. If you are unsure of the severity of your pets condition and if you need to visit a veterinary hospital I am always happy to have a chat on the phone or come and visit for an initial check to assess the situation. However in emergencies where your pet is severely injured or unwell please contact your usual clinic

2. If you have come in contact with a person with COVID-19 or recently returned from overseas in the past 2 weeks and are in isolation, unfortunately I cannot provide a home service

3. Greyhound clients - vaccinations, microchipping, DNA testing and basic consultations are continuing as normal and I am practicing strict sanitising between properties. However, if you require medication to treat the symptoms of CANINE coronavirus (gastro) I am happy to provide a phone consultation and provide medications at a pre-determined drop point to reduce risk of spread.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call
