Unlike many Aramid Type Fabrics like Kevlar, Rip Guard doesn’t hold water, doesn’t fray, it doesn’t hold in heat and is UV and Rot Resistant. It can be used in combination with another material like Seatbelt or Cordura or it can be used on its own. TESTING
We put one layer of Seatbelt up against one layer of Rip Guard XT6000 and we did a puncture test on both using the same test standards. We found the seat belt started showing pe*******on at 15kg of pressure and Rip Guard XT6000 maxed out the scales at over 60kg of pressure without receiving pe*******on. That shows that the one layer of Rip Guard is up to 4 x puncture resistant than one layer of seatbelt webbing. This light super strong fabric is perfectly designed for max pig dog protection and flexibility.
