Have you heard of the most endearing law of all lands; that it is, in fact, it’s illegal to own just one Guinea Pig in Switzerland! 🫣
Their laws for animal welfare are quite firm, it became the law that these chittering little pig fluffs (scientific term😂) must have a friend based on my extensive research, I conclude that Pugs, much like Guinea pigs and shoes, belong in pairs and to have only one Pug goes against the very fabric of scientific research! So our 8.5 year old boys still look for a home where they can enjoy family life, outings or a quiet night on the couch.

2024 broke this family’s hearts when Maximus & Snickers pugs crossed Rainbow bridge together 🐾🐾🌈 but they had a puggy plan.
Knowing their family had so much more love ❤️ they sent a special foster pug to steal their hearts & and bring joy to their world. Giving their new puggy a new name with a special meaning this family wants to shout it LOUD ……….📣
and……..make it official!!

He is in foster care and has settled in so well to his new environment sleeps well and loves to play

Well… when you’re missing home, and working in Japan for a few months…what do you do?

Chris our No1 Pug Lord/foster carer in WA needed some pug loves.. he caught a train for 2hrs+ walk to outskirts of Kyoto to find the ‘Pug Cafe’🐾
3500 yen, 1 hour gets you a - drink, puggy treats and the love & cuddles of 12 dressed pugs,
30 pugs residing either rescued or bred live there and get turns to meet visitors🐾❤️
Lots of people visit from over the world to visit the pugs of all ages & all needs. 🐾❤️🥰

WA …. The Fabulous 5 are nearly ready for adoption.

These five boys are growing and progressing wonderfully in their foster care homes.
Doing all things puppies should do and socialising in different situations.... Great with children and other dogs.

Currently unavailable for adoption until Jan 2025 as desexing and vaccinations need to be completed.

Expressions of interest for adoption are now open and current applications on file will be considered.
This process will close Fri 13th December.

ONLY shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

Meet Vin our 5 year old sweetheart arrived in Queensland

Vin has come to us through no fault of his own

Unfortunately this boy has come in and his basic daily living is filled with anxiety, struggling to breathe, and finds it hard to relax which has effected his weight, significantly being underweight

Vin is undergoing significant vet work which unfortunately is to common in Brachycephalic dog breeds and a reminder the pros and cons of owning this breed, must be well researched before buying the breed, including researching your registered breeders and their genetic health testing, knowing the ongoing vet care and yearly checks they need

Vin’s vet work includes
*full airway surgery
*desexing
*observation and management for Pigment on his eyes
*possible dental (will know more when under anaesthesia)
*full worming and heart worm and tick prevention
*vaccination

Vin for now stays with one of our wonderful fosters on the Sunshine Coast until his full vet work is complete and has had weight gain and then we will look for his forever home

To our horse loving pug community, I am appealing for feed help. Not a coffee this time, but the price of a small square of hay:)

My other much loved rescue; Horse Shepherd Equine Sanctuary, who also finds itself home to donkeys, deer, goats, ex dairy camels and birds of all varieties, is in urgent need of food.

A small, nutrient packed, 100% tax deductible square of hay is just $15; and would be much more appreciated by our equine friends than going to the tax man!

We’re at a critical moment. For the first time ever, we're concerned about our ability to continue. As one of Australia’s largest equine sanctuaries, we're being asked to do more than ever before. As costs soar and donations decline, we can’t do it alone. We need your help.
