Underneath all the fluff, Bear is surprisingly lean. We noticed he's a 'grazer' and would take all day to eat his breakfast ... until today!
We've found something he looooves, so he should start to fill out soon 😀 This beautiful boy will be available for adoption next week.
For anyone needing a quick puppy pick-me-up 😀
The black dog, Rocky, is a three year old retriever x kelpie who arrived in care today. Gizmo wasn't quite sure what to make of his antics at first. Maybe it was Rocky's gymnastics that won him over 🤷♀️ Whatever it was, the end result was two worn out dogs 😀
Welcome into care Gizmo and Ollie.
Available for adoption soon.
Jess went on trial on the weekend. She joins a household with Red Dot golden oldie, Hazel, a young kelpie rescue, Alice, and a couple of cats. Here are some snippets from the updates I have received... 💕
"Going well! Bitey face underway. Alice is thrilled to have a companion to share the fun... I’ve long given up pretending the living room is for humans! ... Jess does excellent head tilting... is really affectionate with us all... Any chance of a cuddle and she’s there! ... Cats are not on her radar so far, (it's) as though they don't exist."
Fingers crossed for this match!
Willa went on trial this afternoon 💕 She has come such a long way from the scared dog that arrived in care 14 weeks ago with three others. A huge shout-out to her foster carer who earned her trust and revealed her sweet, affectionate nature and playful side. And a huge thank you to her prospective adopter who has given her a chance to see how they 'click'. As always, if it doesn't work out, she simply comes back here until we find her the perfect situation. Fingers crossed for this match.
The new enclosure is finished! The first dogs to try it out are Miles and Barney. Look at how much room we now have for off-lead training and play!
Fosters Willa and Thor. An unlikely pair 💕
Clam pools filled!
Ready for a hot day at Red Dot.
[New arrivals Buster, Miles and Barney]
Also arriving in care today is Barney, a beautiful natured six month old kelpie, and Buster, a super friendly red cattle pup around 4 months old.
Ronnie's recovery is going brilliantly. Look how well he is moving.
Red Dot residents Poco and Sharon.
Two different approaches to having a drink. One is more efficient than the other 🤣
After Ronnie's cruciate ligament surgery we've had to invent a new game to replace his favourite one (which is 'Go Fetch'). Introducing 'Drop it and Pick It Up' 😀
Ronnie is recovering well from his cruciate ligament surgery. He has been such a great patient 👩⚕️
Unsurprisingly, Otto chose the biggest stick from the kindling pile to play with on this windy afternoon! He's heading off to his new home tmrw.
Gotta love a dog with initiative 🤣
I'm getting in some quality time with Otto before he heads off to his new home in the morning 💕
TGIF at Red Dot this afternoon with resident Jet and fosters Winnie, Willa and Otto.
Ray has turned a corner. He'll be looking for a home very soon. He's around 1yo and possibly Kelpie x Foxie.
Otto's fetch range has increased! 😲
Such a smart, fun pup that will be a great family dog.
