This makes my heart sing. Shelby is the most shut down dog we've had in care. She had a freeze response to the world 😪 After a week with our amazing scared-dog-whisperer foster carer, Shelby's playful nature has revealed itself. There is still a fair way to go, but it is great to see her relax and engage with the things around her 💕 Imagine how much better she must feel now that she is not constantly on high alert.

Zoe, who arrived yesterday, is our third black kelpie girl in care! She has settled in quickly. She has a beautiful nature and will make a great companion for someone who loves dogs with kelpie traits ... but at a moderate pace 😀

Rascal arrived in care this evening. He is a six month old Dachshund x Cocker Spaniel. He is very cute 💕 and has the softest ears.

This pair is arriving in care on Monday from western NSW. Zoe is around 12yo and was picked up as a stray. Noone came looking for her at the pound 😪 The other is a six month old Cavalier x Dachshund who has been surrendered for being a bit of a handful 🤔 They'll be just fine with us 💕

These three girls are in care and will be available for adoption soon.
Sophie, 5yo kelpie (top L) and her daughter Peggy (top R, 2yo) had the last of their vet work done this week. They'll be looking for homes from this weekend.
We are working on building Shelby's confidence before we finish her vet work (bottom photo). Her carer is establishing trust with her, but there is a little way to go before we feel she will be ready.

These are the beautiful animals in care at the moment who are available for adoption now:
Flicka, 10 month old, red stumpy cattle dog. Crate trained, cat friendly, doesn't bark, walks well on the lead, a total love bug.
Maverick, 1yo, American Bulldog (according to his microchip). Very sweet boy who looks tough on the outside but is a huge marshmallow. Very friendly boy. Just a baby.
CJ, 4yo, house trained, calm and gentle indoor cat. Very low maintenance and easy company.

We had a nice shout out from the Animal Rescue Cooperative today. Their support not only helps the animals in our care, but allows us to share it with some of the rural and remote pounds we rescue animals from.
