PSA to all my beautiful dog owners
Last night our beautiful little girl Matilda was stung by a bee while eating her dinner. Within a few minutes she had collapsed, pooped herself and was going in and out of consciousness. we immediately took her to Underwood emergency vet and they had a team of vets and nurses waiting for us to arrive. On our drive there Matilda was in and out of consciousness, breathing not breathing, eyes rolling to the back of her head and completely limp. They immediately started treatment on her and did everything possible to stabilise her.

In dogs bee stings do not work the same as humans. With dog bee stings, that caused the dog to go into an anaphylactic reaction target their liver, kidneys and gallbladder than can go into blood clotting. And then obviously. Death. She spent the night at the emergency vet while they did constant around the clock supervision and IV changes, blood tests and ultrasounds on her. We are so lucky we got her there when we did. And I can’t express how unbelievably appreciative for the team at underwood emergency vet for how amazing they were to Matilda, Will and I. We got a call at 1 am that she had finally completely stabilised and was able to come home this morning. She is now home resting, but still not her blubbly self I’m sure all of you know how much I love my babies and this completely broke us last night and I cannot even start to imagine it happening to anyone elses animal. please if your dog is stung by a bee especially now that it spring take them to the vet immediately because you don’t know if they’re going to be anaphylactic or not. Our fast thinking saved her life.

I will be travelling overseas for a little holiday with my family 💜

Dear customers
I haven’t been able to do many updates or post photos so far this year, 2024 has started off absolutely crazy as expected and in all honestly I’m exhausted. I haven’t given myself any of the time off I promised myself to recoup and I have finally burnt myself out.
I’m sure a lot of you may not assume this job is as demanding as what it is. But mentally and physically all groomers will become burnt out. We don’t play with puppies all day. We deal with getting bit, scratched, by an animal that we cannot always reason with.. ontop of the constant demand to please every client who wanted an appointment yesterday. I am trying.
I am on my feet for 11-12 hours a day. I don’t take lunch breaks to fit more clients in, I sit every morning and message everyone reminders and every night I sit down and answer everyone who wants an appointment, yet I still have people not happy with my efficiency. I do not have staff. I do not have software that does all the work for me. And in all honestly I am shocked by the amount of rudeness, no shows, and late clients I have received over this last few years. And it sickens me how rude and inconsiderate this society is becoming. This is a business. This is my livelihood. Please be considerate of my time. Your appointment pays for my groceries, my rent, my electricity. If you choose not to show I do not have time to rebook another client in to makeup for my loss.

Within saying all this I have a hell of a lot of amazing wonderful people who bring their dogs to me, who always work with me and ask how I am, always take the time to appreciate the effort I put in for their beautiful dogs. I have shared some beautiful conversations with you all and can truely say we are friends and family now

Which kills to me ancounce, glamorous pooches will no longer be operating in the Redlands next year.

William and I have made the extremely hard decision to take the leap and build a home.. I have spent months with no sleep stressing over if this is the right decision but unfortunately we just cannot afford to buy a home in the Redlands and this is something we truely want in life.. our own home.

Glamorous pooches will continue to operate until the end of December 2024 if all goes to plan and than will be opening in jimboomba
As anyone who has built a home things are stressful and cannot always go to plan..

To any existing clients who are able to make it out there (have friends and family or work out there or maybe you just like to drive 😄) I am offering all day day care for free to help with the inconvenience.. but obviously I completely understand this drive is out of so many people’s way and I am truely sorry for this.

I have loved getting to know each and every one of your doggies and I will forever remember them in my journey of dog grooming.
I will have time to chat with everyone at our appointments for the remaining of this year

Please except some delay in my responses to text messages and Facebook messages as we are absolutely flat out with trying to sort out this whole process. I will most definitely get back to you all! And I really appreciate your patience

-due to potentially needing to temporarily move rentals we unfortunately have to stop over nights stays until next year.

Thank you everyone for such a successful year!

Opening glamorous pooches one of my main goals was to have a clientele I can creative a personal bond with aswell as their pets.
I appreciate every single one of you ❤️
Also a gigantic thank you everyone who gave me a gift for Christmas. That is so lovely of you and I appreciate such a generous thought 🥰

How amazing is this 🤩

It is an honour to assist in collecting toy donations and getting them delivered out this morning. Ange and Tyler shared with me how much they had collected from our very kind community to give to children who would otherwise go without.

We are officially in silly season!
Please make sure you arrive on time to your appointment, if you are more than 10mins late you risk your appointment being cancelled and a no show fee applied

I am running back to back, every day (Monday-Sunday) through the month of December to try and fit as many dogs in as possible before Christmas.
I am currently booked out. But accepting people onto a cancellation list!
My books are currently still closed to new clients And will remain this way until further notice.

We are all tried towards the end of the year and ready for a break! Let’s push through this last month!

🎄Has to deal with stressed animals (you stressed=your pet stressed)

And you being on time helps prevents us from running late all day 😎

For further bookings we are currently looking at a month in advance for an appointment, I highly recommend rebooking at your current appointment for your next than we know you definitely have a spot if needed

PLEASE book your Christmas booking now! I have 3 scatted appointments left between the dates of 18th-20th of December and the rest of the month is closing up pretty fast, I really don’t want you guys to miss out!

The salon will be closed from the 23rd of December to the 8th of January

I have had to put a close on my books for new clients currently but Thank you everyone for spreading the work about me, I cannot appreciate enough the amount of clients I have recieved from word of mouth, you all are so amazing 💜

I have made every effort to keep this increase to a minimum and will continue to provide quality products and services to you and appreciate your business and continued support.

within saying this I am introducing loyalty cards to all my regular customers from the 1/10/23

Please be mindful all service prices are based on an estimate and the final price will factor in behaviour and coat condition of your dog

Just a little post for an update on upcoming appointments, July time off, September time off🥰
Please read and message or comment with any questions or to book in xx

I have a few scattered appointments left for July, I am closed from the 29th of July - 7th of august for my birthday

I have had to make some changes to appointments in September, I have to go under major surgery once again for my ongoing endometriosis and adenomyosis. I have tried to put it off this second surgery as long as possible but I cannot put up with the pain much longer. I am hoping to be closed from the 6th of September to the 18th of September if all goes well, from experience I won’t be able to do any large dogs for the month of September while I am still healing, so please contact me if you have a large/extra large dog and would like to book in now before the 6th of September. I’ll be extending my days to get everyone in before I need to close
When I return to work I will be easing back in with half the amount of dogs, your dogs appointment may take a touch longer than we usually do throughout this time. Hopefully it won’t take long and I’ll be able to be back to normal with packed full days with your doggy’s 🥰 (last time was about 4 weeks 🤞🏽)
I will try my absolute best to not have to move anyone’s appointment from the 18th of September I don’t want to inconvenience anyone 💜

I’m the meantime I will keep you all updated, I appreciate every single one of my beautiful clients and feel you all deserve to know what’s going on in my life, and how I’ll always make it work to fit all your gorgeous doggy’s in

It’s been a rollercoaster but work is a distraction and being able to hang out with your doggy’s everyday helps, so thank you

Update on voicemails/texts ect.

I am extremely busy (as usual) and have been working over time all year which wasn’t the plan 😅 but I find it very hard to disappoint people and try and use every bit of sunlight in my day to fit everyone in. I do apologise if I do not return your voicemails right away as some days I am not finishing grooming untill after 6:30pm at night. (12 hour days)
Please try to refrain from leaving multiple voicemails as it isn’t going to get me to call back any faster (plus it fills my voice mail and peoples messages do not come through!!!)
I cannot answer the phone while grooming your loving doggy’s, I always try to return calls and text messages by the end of day, if you are wanting a faster response please leave a text message. I don’t want anyone to think I am ignoring them!! Some days I get home, shower, eat and I am fast asleep before I even pick up my phone again 😂

I am currently 1 month booked out in advance so please be understanding if you are unable to get your fur baby in as soon as you have hoped.


I would like to try and post more photos of your gorgeous baby’s on here and I will definitely try! I have been so exhausted lately and am really looking forward to these holidays. Of course I will miss all my beautiful clients and their pups but i will be back in no time and you’ll have me all to yourselves again 😄❤️
