Yesterday was International Veterinarian Day. At VPVH we have a group of Amazingly skilled, dedicated and caring Vets that are here to look after you and your much loved pets. They care for your animals as if they were there own and spend many hours outside of work continuing to improve and learn, to keep up with current reccomendations.
We are proud to work alongside them and would like to acknowledge their talents and compassion.
Here's to the Vets of VPVH!
Today is National Dogs Day. At VPVH we are lucky enough to live and work with some amazing Dogs.
They make us smile, they love with all their hearts, they don't care what you are wearing or how much you have, they are loyal and loving companions.
They get us through darkness and make us belly laugh with their antics.
People can learn from Dogs and their unconditional love and loyalty.
Here are some of our much loved Dogs who are all much more than pets.
Go home and hug your Dog tight on National Dog Day....and every day.
🐶🐕🦮🐕🦺🐩❤️🥰
This gorgeous group just graduated this week from Puppy School. Such a good bunch of puppies. It has been a pleasure working with you and watching you grow and learn.
Congratulations Jersey, Willow, Kirra, Lily and Flopsy. 🥰
Honey
How clever is little Honey!!
She had a fantastic time learning and making friends at Puppy School.
Our Dogs make us smile, they fill our hearts with love and warmth just by being there at the end of a long day. They love us unconditionally.
There is nothing like spending time with your dog and watching them enjoy a good run at the beach or snuggling up nice and safe on the sofa in front of the t.v.
They are our companions, our friends and sometimes our saviours.
My Dog brings me a sense of contentment and peace and makes me laugh out loud even when I know I will have to spend two hours washing all the mud off.
We wouldn't have them any other way.
Here at VPVH we are lucky to have met so many amazing dogs and their Families.
Happy International Dog Day.
Please share some photos of your lovely dogs with us so we can all appreciate them with you. ❤
We had a V.I.P (Very Important Puppy) visit us on Monday.
Maple is Victoria Point State High Schools Dog.
She has an important job at school making sure that everyone is ok and that work is going well.
She came to see us for help with a little Dental problem.
Maple had some Tartar building up on her teeth, which if left could have led to dental disease.
She had a short anaesthetic and her teeth were scaled and polished and X-rayed to make sure they were nice and healthy under the gum line.
She was a very good girl and woke up feeling clean and refreshed.
I think her Students will appreciate the freshness of her breath while enjoying puppy cuddles when school goes back. 😁🐕
Winnie 💜
Everyone itching for the weekend?
We recently had Winnie, a beautiful kitten in for trouble with her ears. Her owners noticed her shaking her head and so they brought her straight in to be seen by our wonderful Dr Kath.
Dr Kath investigated the inside of her ears with an otoscope and was able to take a swab to see what’s going on a microscopic level all in house during the consultation.
It seems Winnie has had the misfortune of picking up some unwelcome hitchhikers! These little creepy crawlers are called Otodectes cynotis, commonly known as ear mites. They have caused enough damage down her ears that a nasty bacterial infection is present as well.
Luckily ear mites are easily treatable with a spot on preventative - Revolution plus, which treats fleas, ticks, heart worm and intestinal worms as well. Dr Kath was also able to identify the bacteria and decide on an effective antibiotic to treat it.
Winnie was patient enough to have her ears cleaned out, all the treatment applied and was able to head home much more comfortable and no longer being bugged by her ears 😉
If you have any concerns with your pets ears - give us a call on 3207 8023 and we can book a consultation with one of our vets to investigate the problem.
Awww, look at Bindi. She’s a cute Jack Russell Terrier. She was the second JRT puppy we saw this morning. She couldn’t work out where the noise was coming from.
It’s been a week of cute puppies! 🥰
Santa Paws in training. We might be ready by next Christmas. 😀
