We are moving!!!!!!..... As of 21 October 2024...... To Angle Vale Oval (the back oval).

This summer Virginia Oval is required for women's cricket matches Monday nights from 21 October 2024, so that means we will be relocating to Oval #2, on Fradd Rd, Angle Vale (that's the back oval behind the soccer fields)......."Angle Vale Community Sports Centre" in Google Maps should get you to the right spot.......if you arrive and see Women's Cricket being played on the oval adjacent to Fradd Road, you are in the right place, keep going down the driveway past the oval, past the soccer fields, to the back oval.

Apart from the location, we aren't planning to change anything else, classes will still start at 7:30pm, we will still have our same instructors and helpers.

The oval at Angle Vale has lights, toilets, and ample car parking, and we hope the location will be as good, if not better than Virginia Oval, however we may need to find our feet/paws at the new location, so please be patient with us while we get settled and adjust to the new location.....also some of our instructors have to travel a little bit further, and we may forget to factor this into our Monday night plans, so apologies in advance if any of us are running late.

Just a reminder, as Monday is a Public Holiday so there's no training this week, enjoy the long weekend.

Update: it appears we may have use of the oval tonight after all.
….….........

Sorry for the extremely short notice but it looks like we are going to have to cancel tonight's training!!!

It appears the oval has been double booked tonight and there is currently a rather busy kids soccer match happening and we don't have access to the oval.

Appologies for the short notice, but we have only just found this out when one of our instructors have arrived at the oval.

26/08/2024

We are short on instructors tonight.

Our classes will run as normal, but we won't be taking new/interested members tonight. Next week we should be back to normal. Anyone who is interested in becoming a member is welcome to message the page with any questions you have.

Training cancelled tonight due to weather.

We are currently experiencing lighting, thunder and showers in the area, and while we will often brave the showers, we know a number of dogs really don't cope well with thunder, so for everyone's safety and welbeing, we think it's better to cancel.

We will have a special treat on Monday, 12th August! Our previous chief instructor Lis Brady will be running a group class which will help our members to get their dogs to respond to them, even when there are no treats in front of them!! Learn about fading lures, how to use random reinforcements and more!! All classes will start at 7.30 and work as one group - and all members are welcome. Looks like the weather is going to be good too ☀️🐕

15/07/2024

Lis 8.15pm class - from now (unless advised otherwise) come at 7.30pm and join Lis in a ‘self help’ class. This will continue until the weather improves 🥶. Alternatively, stay warm at home and rejoin when the weather is better 😁

No 8.15pm class tonight - sorry if you were planning on coming

30/06/2024

Lis’s Advanced (8.15pm) Class will not be held this Monday.
Also Elaine and Alan will be having a well earned night off after a busy weekend organising, judging, stewarding and competing in DWD and tricks so Lis will be taking her class at 7.30pm. If you were wanting to attend the 8.15 class, you are welcome to join the 7.30 class instead. Thanks, from Lis

We have multiple instructors off sick tonight, if you want to come out and brave the cold we will still love to have you and will still be running classes, but if you're sitting on the fence trying to decide if you want to come out or stay home in the warmth, we won't be offended if you choose the warmth.

Winter is officially here, so make sure you put on some extra layers, cause these evenings are getting to be quite chilly.

Also keep in mind some dogs don't like putting their bellies (or sometimes bums) on the cold ground, so just be mindful of this, if you are asking for these excercises, and getting a bit of reluctance from our four legged friends to do what we ask....... Maybe it is uncomfortable for them, so let's stop and think is it really necessary, or could we make it more comfortable, by using a mat, towel,or yoga mat?
