What a result for the MTR stable, with KAHAWATY winning at Albury today.
The 6YO Pride Of Dubai mare was purchased by Mick as a tried galloper, with Kahawaty having won three races at the provincials before arriving in Wagga.
She needed a let-up following a few runs for us and she's returned in fine fashion, finishing strongly to win a nice little 1000m Benchmark 66 Handicap.
Amy O'Driscoll, who only picked up the ride this morning, rode her perfectly and we're very proud to celebrate this victory.
We thank the owners for their patience. This is a very nice reward for our hard work.

The Michael Travers Racing team is excited to announce that we have taken on Trevor Sutherland's former stables on Travers Street.
A proven winning environment, with closer proximity to the MTC Racecourse, we also have access to a six-horse walker, big yards, and 18 more stables.
With the possibility to train up to 40 horses accross both locations, we're hoping to capitalise on our recent good form.
