Meet Felix 🖤🤍

Felix is a gorgeous 1-year-old black-and-white boy with the perfect balance of playful energy and chill. He loves running up and down the hallway and often plays happily with the dog. When playtime is over, Felix is more than content to relax—sometimes curling up to sleep with the dog or even hopping onto your bed for a cozy nap.
He’s an independent cat who enjoys his own space but still likes being close to his people when it suits him, making him an easygoing and low-maintenance companion.
Felix is healthy and ready for his forever home:

• ✅ Desexed
• ✅ Vaccinated
• ✅ Microchipped

Rex and Mitch are in urgent need of new homes as their owner has passed away. Both are in a temporary foster home in Wagga Wagga, but we want to place them permanently ASAP to minimise their stress. Mitch is 6 years old and is a confident, social cat who loves chin skritches. Rex is 10 years old and has birth deformities including a stumpy tail and quite short hind legs. This doesn't affect his mobility around the house however he is unhealthily obese and needs to lose a few kg. In order to keep him on a food-restricted diet, we want a home for Rex where he is either the only pet, or in a very controlled feeding environment where he can't access other cats' dishes. Visit our website to apply.

We enjoy receiving updates. I had a surprise update on one of my fosters adopted in 2016. He was originally called Daisy but we discovered a couple of extra bits. As you can see by the photo’s he is one very loved handsome kitty.

Sweeney is styling her new sun hat as we head towards summer! Remember that dogs can get malignant melanoma too, and white-faced dogs are more susceptible. Apply dog-safe sunscreens and fly sprays as well and make sure your pets have plenty of shade in their yard.

Our first bottle-fed foundlings of the season are now eating solid kitten food and will be big enough for vet work and furever homes in a few more weeks. This trio is in a foster home in Wagga. Aren't they adorable? And huge thanks to their carer for all those nighttime feedings!

Further to yesterday's post about toxic plants, this is what vomiting fresh blood looks like. Vomit that looks like brownish coffee grounds is also blood. Bloody vomit and/or bloody diarrhoea are emergencies - ring your vet immediately! Treatment can mean the difference between your pet living or dying. We are thankful that Mia could be stopped from eating many berries, received timely excellent vet care, and is fully recovering.

Be alert to toxins in your home and in public spaces! On the weekend, one of our carers stopped her foster dog eating some unknown berries/plant seeds that were lying on the ground at the local dog park and binned them. Poor little Mia spent Sunday at the emergency vet on IV therapy for gastric bleeding & getting blood tests, and fortunately she will fully recover. The berries were NOT from the dog park landscaping, so were dropped there either accidentally or deliberately from somewhere else. Teach your dog "leave it" and to not eat things they find (oh we know that's very difficult with greedy dogs!). Please help with Mia's vet bill at:
