I’m Dr. Greg Connell - a qualified chiropractor and I have been serving the great people (and their dogs!) in Ballarat for over 30 years. One thing to remember – I DON’T CRUNCH BONES! I DO NOT twist, wrench or crunch your dog.... I provide outstanding results using advanced techniques that are very gentle - with no trauma or pain to your pet ;-)

Don’t worry – this is not black magic…

It is the r

esult of over 30 years of practice and training, refining and selecting the best techniques from the world over. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Chiropractic in 1983 and have been in practice continually since. I have qualifications and proficiency have been continually updated in postgraduate studies in the areas of pediatrics, Activator (including instructor proficiency qualification), SOT (Sacro-occipital technique), TBM (Total body modification) and physiological therapeutics (including laser, ultrasound, and mechanical massage therapies). I have also completed training at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa in the US and has worked as clinical instructor at RMIT. Although I practice proficiently across the spectrum of chiropractic techniques, I really am an advocate (and specialist!!) in the areas of Activator and SOT. These techniques are non-force and work with the animals own healing mechanisms to achieve outstanding results. These techniques are only offered by Chiropractors with the requisite postgraduate training. Love to meet you all at some stage at a show or an event and hopefully not in my treatment rooms!

Just critical for those who condone early des*xing! Just don't!! Bu**er the dog, the worse the risk

In conclusion, this study shows that the risk of cranial cruciate ligament disease in dogs is linked to how long they are exposed to natural s*x hormones, and the relationship isn’t simple or linear. The highest risk was seen when females were spayed before about 1054 days (just under 3 years) and males before about 805 days (a little over 2 years). These results may help define what counts as “early” spay or neuter when it comes to cranial cruciate ligament disease risk.

Veterinary reproduction specialists now recommend hormone-preserving sterilization: preventing unwanted litters & less risk of torn cruciates.

Our Story

I’m Dr. Greg Connell B. App. Sc. [Chiropractic] year of 1983, (currently not practicing as a Chiropractor),

I am trained in Emmett Technique, Laser, Accell vibrational therapy mat (mechanical massage), and Neuro-myofascial Release Technique, giving me an extensive understanding of dog anatomy and function. These techniques and therapies are all animal-specific. (see below for links on these techniques)

I have always had an affinity and deep love for dogs, so it was a natural progression for me to incorporate treating dogs into my past Chiropractic practice and in 2013 I made the decision to work with our K9 friends and other small animals such as cats, rabbits and other domestic pets on a full-time basis.

Working in the medical field, one of our mantra’s is to do no harm, so please remember: I DO NOT CRUNCH BONES, I DO NOT twist, wrench or crunch your dog I provide outstanding results using advanced techniques that are very gentle - with no trauma or pain to your pet.
