Frequently asked questions:

1. Why is everything always out of stock?
It’s not 😉 I focus on quality rather than quantity so only have limited eggs/chicks, and only sell eggs when I am happy with fertility AND hatch rate AND it’s not too hot to post. If you see eggs available and you want them, buy them quickly before someone else does. I can’t ask the hens to lay more than they already do, and won’t pre-sell anything.

2. Can I pre-order eggs?
No. I tried this last season and it was way more stress than it was worth. As above, keep an eye out on the website.

3. Can I see pictures?
Yes! They are on my website www.hookedonchooks.com.au
These are pictures of my actual breeding birds that I have taken myself, not stolen from the internet.

4. Can I come and see your setup/meet the parent birds?
Unfortunately due to biosecurity (and normal security) I won’t be taking anyone out to see my setup or big birds. More than happy to FaceTime though if you’re worried I’m a scammer 😉

5. When can I pick up eggs/chicks?
This will be worked out as the season ends/begins, and how people behave. I’ll be going back to organising specific times for pickups but will generally be on weekends.
