Farewell Paddy. It feels like Paddy’s been here for 1 million years. This is his last ride. He gave to my grandson Jack at 10 months old in the last school holidays. Thank you so much to the Mc Kechnie Family for lending him to me for the rest of his life. Paddy was laid to rest at Kurrajong Park last week. I have included a photo of granny Mac riding in here a few years ago, you’re welcome to add more photos if you would like to. He was even on the front of the Wangaratta Chronicle with a bucket list 80 year-old lady. Helped numerous disability riders in his older . Thanks to Chris, Karen and Elizabeth McKechnie. Granny Mac Janne, Miranda and Michael. There is one of your breeding left which is Poppy which has been leased to Tessa Arnold for her kids to learn to ride on a few years ago and she is going out competing and teaching Tessa’s kids to ride.

I’m feeling really good, so I did a few horse riding lessons on the weekend. 🤠🤠🦄🦄 thanks to helpers Eliza, Sienna, Ruby and Mai. I’m not leading horses any more, I have decided to retire from that. 🙈If you would like a lesson on Saturday or Sunday please let me know. Shetlands are 9 till 11, the better riders are 11 till 1. Then the middle beginners that are starting to Canter are 2 till 4. yes, we will be able to start up lessons during the week after school. 🦄🦄 however spots are always limited 🦄🤠 sorry if I haven’t replied to you wanting a lesson, please harass me again, I did have pretty good concussion🙈

Home yesterday afternoon. Great to be home and Bertie was my number one fan. It will take me a couple of weeks to get my strength up again. Had surgery down at the Melbourne Private hospital to replace my left elbow. Yes, I am left-handed…. now trying to be right handed. I need to remind myself that I’m 65 this year and I shouldn’t be doing silly things. Just thinking I was younger and leading a pony trotting with a client on over the trotting poles. As I was running over the trotting poles, I tripped and landed head first into one of the trotting poles and my elbow landed on another trotting pole. Thank goodness I’ve got lovely quiet ponies that stopped, I gained consciousness before I realised I needed the ambulance. Thanks Eliza and everyone for your help at the time. So now I promise to act my age, not my shoe size. Thanks to Eliza and Tom for looking after the farm. Especially Bertie that had also been in and out of the vets with a reaction to being bitten by a Bee or similar in the mouth for the week. Daughter Sarah being a taxi driver to Melbourne etc. been home to her place with the kids. Brother Rick and wife Carolle stepping in as taxi driver home from Melbourne hospital. Thanks so much for all the kind messages, offers, beautiful get well cards etc greatly appreciated. Look forward to catching up with you in a couple of weeks. Xx

Hello friends of Kurrajong Park 🐴

As some of you may know, Libby had a nasty fall on the weekend (not off a horse!), and has broken her elbow in multiple places. She is having surgery in Melbourne tomorrow. With a terrible concussion also, she hasn’t been travelling too well! I’m sure when she is home from hospital she will love to see all of your lovely well wishes. Libby will no doubt let you all know when she’s back on deck with her legs and voice still working!
