A bit about me
Hi everyone, my name is Anna and I'm a permaculture enthusiast and self taught herbalist.
I studied naturopathy for many years slowly plodding along whilst raising my beautiful children. There was something in my education that was deeply missing for me. I could not understand why herbal medicine was being taught inside and how real live plants were not a part of the course.
When my daughter turned 1 I decided I needed to take my study into my own hands and work with plants more. At this stage I had been growing vegetables and fruit on our small block for a few years already and this was very good for my health. My stress levels decreased a lot letting go of my health science degree and I started to learn all the things that were missing in my course. Such as growing medicinally plants, preparing them, communicating with them and growing with them as a person.
At Christmas 2016 we moved onto half an acre we wanted more land to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Growing vegetables and fruit was a passion of mine by this point and I wanted space for water tanks and a garden that could actually feed us year round. Last year I completed my permaculture design course and this was quite life changing for me. Its as if the permaculture principles were already my values and I finally found the framework to work with them. The most exciting thing was discovering that theres people out there who want the lifestyle I want, the healing model I want and most importantly care for our paradise here on earth in the best way possible.
