**URGENT HELP NEEDED FOR JACQUI AND JESSE – LET’S LEND A HAND 🐾❤️**

Dear Friends & Members of DGAWA,

In the heart of our vibrant grooming community, Jacqui has stood as a cornerstone of support, dedication, and unconditional love, alongside her son Jesse. Their commitment, hard work, and friendly smiles have been indispensable, whether it's helping with events, ensuring everyone is taken care of, or simply sharing their joy and enthusiasm with us all.

Unfortunately, life has thrown a couple of hard-hitting challenges their way recently. On May 4th, an accident occurred where Jacqui’s mobile dog grooming trailer tragically fell on her foot, leading to a fracture that has kept her from working since. With unwavering spirit, she planned to make a comeback this week with her son Jesse by her side, stepping in to assist by bathing and grooming under Jacqui's guidance.

However, in an unforeseen heartbreak, Jesse was the passenger in a severe car accident last Wednesday night in Gooseberry Hill, leaving him physically incapable of working. This devastating twist means that for the next few weeks, Jacqui will be without an income, at a time when both she and Jesse are trying to recover from their respective accidents at home.

**We are reaching out to our community with an urgent plea for support.** The bills, unfortunately, do not pause and continue to arrive, adding to the stress and strain on Jacqui and Jesse during this difficult recovery period.

**How Can You Help?**
Donations of any size would be an immense relief to them during this critical time. Even a contribution of $10 can make a significant difference. Together, we can help ease the burden on Jacqui and Jesse, allowing them to focus fully on their recovery without the looming worry of financial pressures.

DGAWA GROOMER OF THE MONTH is….

🎉 Congratulations 🎉�

I am a mobile dog groomer, I work from my trailer and cover an area within a 15 minute drive from Butler where I live.
I worked for 30 plus years in accounting before I did an intensive 6 week grooming course and opened up my business. I was looking for a lifestyle change, where I could be my own boss, choose my hours and no longer spend hours commuting into the city. The bonus is that I get to work with dogs all day.
I am very proud of my two children. My son is in the army and my daughter is a teacher and I have recently become a Nanna, my grandson Oliver was born last year. He is adorable.
I have two dogs of my own, a chocolate and a yellow labrador. The yellow is a rescue, he is very anxious and I have learnt a lot from him for when I am dealing with nervous dogs.
In my spare time I volunteer for Poops (Pets of Older Persons). I regularly walk Milly, a maltese, whose owner can no longer walk her. I also love sewing and I fill my van with bandanas and other items I have made(pics enclosed).
In terms of grooming, I love grooming the older dogs. I love seeing them when they have had a good wash and groom and are feeling their best. It always seems to cheer them up and give them a boost after they have been groomed.
I have very much enjoyed the seminars I have attended with the DGWA and others. I have met some lovely people in the industry and I will be definitely be attending more. My husband would like me to attend the PIGA Malaysian Asian Fusion courses so that he can come along for a holiday!
