Group classes this week, everyone are doing so well with their dogs. In my Tuesday evening group some are just starting to work off lead amazing progress, this only happens when owners and teaching their dogs. Very proud moment as a trainer to watch as we start to see these transformations.

Up and coming we are part way through our mentorship program, where our owners and dogs meet every two weeks for a period of time for private 1:1 lessons

Time has come to offer this again. please note if you would like to apply by messaging me and telling me Your story be aware it is a Commitment, owners need to be dedicated in doing their homework, there will be times it will feel repetitive but that is a part of it.

Update on Rocky the Corgi and Jet that border collie,

This was our 2nd lesson, it's been some time since our first lesson, however I can tell the family hav worked hard on getting them to listen, just a few things that need some work. Listening a Biggy although they are doing well, boundaries eg not running out of the back gate, not running through the house. Barking jumping etc.

These two did super job today. Well done team

This mornings puppy / teenager class we had some new puppies come along and join us today. Our Saturday puppies is now full.
Everyone did so well today here are some pics of our puppies, they are learning sit and wait until owner returns, they are learning to listen and respond, owners are also learning what there job is, puppies are learning a mat command and not chew it but how to stay and relax on it. It is going to be a process and it will take time however with consistency it gets so much better our puppies get to have a welcomed play at the end

This week I have had lessons, two of my families are doing my mentorship program, both families are doing so well with their dogs and listening skills. It's been such nice weather we were able to do the lesson out doors
Drop step away exercise such an important exercise to teach impulse control, teaching our dog to be relaxed while having a dremel run over their bodies and work towards toenails being trimmed. Teaching our dogs to walk nicely on the lead regardless of what is going on around them. Teaching our dogs to wait not sit or drop but to wait at the rd until invited accross also teaching our dogs not to barge inside and run a muck but to wait patiently for his or her invitation while the back door is wide open

Had a busy week from group training classes to 1:1 Private lessons.
Group classes are doing really well. Teaching our dogs how to listen with other people and dogs around is an important part of teaching our dogs to learn and listen.

My private 1:1 lessons went so well. Teaching our dogs impulse control through obedience training and boundaries around the house.
Teaching our dogs is about safety, having a safe dog around the general public or anyone that comes to your home, but also teaching dogs how not to barge into your home and run a muck, teaching them how to wait at any boundaries eg front door , gate or garage that leads to the street so if ever the gate was open our dog / s won't go out the gate.

Update on Hazel.
I met Hazel and his family around 2 years ago, first time meeting Hazel mum was heavily pregnant and they needed Hazel to stop jumping up. Hazel is on my advanced training class and doing so well, however even advanced dogs can need some extra help. With Hazel we are working on her obedience exercises at a higher standard, boundaries that she loves to challenge, walking on lead with mum and when mum is pushing the trike.
hazel is also learning a relaxation technique to be able to trim nails after being clipped too far down by professionals and now doesn't accept nail clipping, it is going yo be a slow process but we already noticed her relaxing

Meet Stanley, upon meeting Stanley he was a crazy jumper up onto people, especially his mum. When we started our lesson and I asked him to hold an obedience exercise he could not hold it, I was very consistent with what I was asking for as the lesson progressed he started to start listening and holding command for longer. He struggled at first because his dog brother kept whining as you can imagine with two dogs that are so attached at first he was very distracted. We moved on to boundaries started with the kitchen, he did so well listening it is a work in progress but I really look forward to seeing him again to see how he is going

Update on Rufus, Rufus can be highly strung, when outside of the house he gets so distracted he cannot listen to his owners, over the 18 months we have been working together I have seen a lot of change, but over the last 3 months particularly, we went to an unknown area to Rufus and played around using the obstacles to do some obedience exercises work on listening and not pulling, I won't say he was perfect as there is no such thing but his distraction level were less and he listens so much better. Hope you enjoy the photos. Well done to mum and dad for putting the work in even though it's been quite the journey

Well done to all that came to class this evening, we are slowly progressing to collar, and eventually move to off lead. My advanced class went out for a walk and did obedience out and about, 7pm class stayed in to start further working towards going collar. So proud of everyone

Update on Hercules he is one of my dogs doing the mentorship program, Hercules is doing such a great job and of course his owners, when we start to teach our dogs how to think for themselves we stop having to micromanage them, Hercules is learning a long drop stay exercise he is also learning not to just invite himself onto the couch but to wait for an invitation

Meet Navy, Navy likes to bark very loudly at anyone coming into his home, This is due to fear and not being confident, due to this I verbally taught his owners through training, Navy is learning to listen when asked in the way of obedience exercises and boundaries,at the end of the lesson we ended it with a mat command. He did really well I look forward to seeing his progress.

Meet Frankie, Frankie is very rambunctious and likes to push his owner, when I started working with him his first reaction was to try as hard as he can not to listen and roll around being very silly, I have to say it didn’t last long as I was very consistent with him. Believe it or not he actually started to listen and respond nicely. Today he learnt some obedience exercises he also learnt some manners and boundaries, he did so well in the end even him mum was like wow really now I can see what he can be like. Well done team

Merry Christmas from my house to yours enjoy all the festivities. If you look close you will see Myah holding her drop exercise 🥰

Dachshunds can learn just like any other dog or breed, just because you haven't taught him or her doesn't mean they can't learn in the future. The earlier you teach them the better but they can still learn at any age. It may be obedience training or behaviours, tricks etc. below is my Harley his Learning to do tricks.

This weeks shenanigans, well done to all the doggies.

This evening I received an update on Big Mac. Mac back door antics were a little crazy, Mac's family have been teaching him a fun interactive game and boundaries, look how relaxed Mac looks at the back door

Myah and Harley put themselves in position to have nails done or teeth cleaned whatever I choose, but who do I Choose first. Teaching our dogs how to relax while we trim nails or brush teeth is very important technique rather than fighting with them. I'm so proud of these two and their accomplishments 🥰

They say dashies can be stubborn, however that goes for many dogs. Harley is a very willing participant always eager to be the first one to play and train. Consistency is the key to our dogs learning.

Harley is learning paws up on different objects today was a plastic container, his allowed off when invited and sits on command. Well done Harley
