Update on Zelda, Zelda is being a typical teen trying not to listen and times she would very much like to be on her own agenda, how with consistency mum did get there with her, it is going to be time and patience with her.
Zelda is starting to learn the long drop stay exercise to work on her impulse control handy exercise to have in your tool kit especially if you need it while out and about. When she comes inside she loves to use the couch as her way into the house so we implemented a couch boundary, we also implemented a new boundary up the hallway to the bedrooms and one to the front door, so guests can arrive without the crazyness of the dogs jumping at the door and jumping on guests as they arrive.
Well done miss Zelda look forward to seeing your progress as you move through the training and mature. :)

Meet Pippy and Twiggy mum and dad took this duo on last year, as teenagers they like to do a lot of barking and a little bit of furniture chewing. At first when I put the lead I wanted them to be on their mat for a moment both of them their reaction was to get off and pull on the lead but once we got started in the game and I had their attention this started to change and I got much more attention from them which was lovely to see. During the game they learnt some obedience exercises as well as a mat command. Having these two on their own mat instead of the couch will keep the couch safe. These two are also learning boundaries to keep them safely out of the kitchen, we don’t want to trip over our dogs and spill hot food on them or drop a knife on the floor that would hurt dog if under our feet. These two did so well mum and dad just need to get on top of the barking with the plan we have put in place.

What I like most about working with dogs is helping dogs and owners alike, teaching owners how to work with their dogs, when they put in the work what I’ve taught them in place change happens, consistency is the key to anything, between lesson when the owner spends time teaching their dogs change happens, today I had two lessons two different owners two different dog breeds, both spent the time over the last few weeks teaching their dogs, they learnt some fun games they learnt some obedience exercises the biggest thing for me was the change in both of these dogs. One was uncertain of me and barked a lot initially, today he settled with me almost immediately, the other dog was a very extremely mouthy pup, the pup was not only not mouthing any more but was so much calmer than the previous lessons she has calmed right down to a manageable level for dad and his human brother and sister. For me I was absolutely gobsmacked and this absolutely made my day, I walked away with a smile, owners walked away with a smile. Well done to both of these families:)

Update on young Milla. On entering the family home the very first time Milla was quite intent on biting myself his family, they would have to wear boots so she wouldn't bite their feet, good news that has all disappeared no more boots required. Today Milla learnt to hold a sit and drop stay command, she is learning to do a relaxation technique, we changed the game made it more challenging for her. We implemented a backdoor boundary where she will wait with door open to wait for her invite cue. Milla your amazing well done team she is going to be a fabulous dog. 🥰

Update on tucker, on entering the family home the very first time a few weeks back Tucker was very uncertain of me there was a lot of barking after 10 or so Mins he came around. Today it did not take much time at all, I have made a new friend 😀. Today Tucker started working with our fun game making it more challenging more thinking to be had. He is doing sit, drop stay exercise and doing them very well, why we teach long drop. It is about using their impulse control self regulation and learning to relax in a command. We implement a boundary to the garage so he will learn to wait for his invitation cue to come in, reason behind it of the door for the cars to come in is open he will know over time to stay in the back yard and not run onto the street. Safety reasons. We went out for a little walk just up and down the path outside he is doing super on the halter.

Meet Freddie.
Freddie is a gorgeous teenager, today's lesson he learnt a fun interactive game where he has to learn to think about what he has to do, he did super, he is learning some obedience exercises and a mat command. Freddie is learning not to enter kitchen, leave dishwasher alone and not jump on the couch. Really please with what he achieved this evening I look forward to seeing his progress and our next lesson. Consistency is the key to helping our dogs learn. Freddie is learning how to wear head halter taking it slowly.
Freddie has a great mum so onwards from here.

Meet Milo, He is our newest member, Milo mum wanted to be certain she was starting off on the right foot. We taught Milo an interactive game which he picked up so well, he is learning to sit and hold the sit. We implemented the kitchen boundary teaching him not to go in there because kitchens are not safe for puppies to be in there. They become a trip hazard which put them in danger, dropping knives or spilling hot food would put our dog or puppy in danger.
Milo did super job at learning what was being asked of him.
Well done Milo and mum you both are going to be amazing team.

Meet Maisie the golden retriever she is my sons dog for the weekend I got my 2 grandchildren human kind and the k9 kind. We got straight to work and started teaching her an interactive game, she is learning manners, boundaries and obedience exercises. Maisie your a champ she took it all on board did super job.

Meet Maisie. Maisie struggles with guests entering the house that she doesn't know, generally fear creates this behaviour, I was able to guide mum through her training to start getting her listening and responding through obedience exercises, language manners and boundaries, considering all of the above she did really well. Since our lesson I had received updates to say she is improving daily with her new found skills and language.
