We're wishing all our friends, family, and fellow dog lovers a joyful and prosperous New Year!

May 2026 be filled with smiles, wagging tails, and countless adventures with your furry companions.

Happy 9 weeks puppies!

Most have headed off to their new homes now and they are all doing so well! Some great sleeping, crate training and general settling in happening this week. It's so great to hear the updates and know they are all happy.

It's been much quieter here with just Ghost and Hubert who are still here for a little bit longer but they are joining in with most of the activities. While they are here they still get to practice crate training, toilet training and some basic obedience/manners because it's just part of our routine (and it's great to be consistent with young puppies).

Hopefully everyone has enjoyed the photos and now with Christmas over I'll be able to get back into putting up more updates 😄

Here's some photos from when the pups turned 7 weeks 🎉

I've got a little behind with the posting so the photos have just been on my phone and sent with the weekly emails to the families but I thought it would be a shame not to post them. They are so cute and it's always incredible how fast they grow!

So please forgive the puppy spam until I get back up to date😄

I'm a little late on posting the 6 week puppy photos 😬 better late than never.

This age is so amazing with how much they are learning, growing and changing. This also means there is lots of work for us to do with training, socialising aaand cleaning.

They are loving the outdoors, meeting other dogs, animals and people and just getting to be pups. I can't believe it's not long until they go home.

Little Ghost is now looking for a family of his own too but will stay with us for as long as it takes to find the right situation for him.

Happy 5 weeks puppies 🎉🥰

The pups have been enjoying more time outside during the good weather. They are inside at night and naps throughout the day and are very good at using their potty tray when inside. They are enjoying meeting some of the older dogs, cats and chickens but love being around people the most. It's often hard to get photos because they just want to be near me.

They are learning to sit for pats and come when they are called. Outside is great for practicing this because of all the distractions. They are a gorgeous bunch and we've been having so much fun with these little guys 🥰

Doug has been supervising gardening and building activities today. He approves of the work getting done 😄

Border Collies love hanging out with you while you work but sometimes it does take some practice when they are pups. Often when they are young you'll find them biting the rake or digging up what progress you've made so learning to relax and watch you work is all practice, practice and more practice. I love having the dogs with me for most of the day so it's a big part of training that I prioritise. It's also something that I look for in any dog or puppy's temperament when I am adding another one to the pack.

The litter is three weeks old now 🎉

They are still sleeping a heap but have little bouts of play. They are learning how to play and interact with each other now that they can see and hear. They are also learning how to interact with us humans and figure out how we fit into their world. While they are being held we do all the handling practice too which includes touching their feet, ears, mouth, tail and nose. They don't mind being upside down at all and will often go to sleep.

Now that their ears are open we are getting them used to all kinds of household sounds. On the TV we play different types of movies, TV shows and sounds for them to get used to. They also get used to kitchen noises, daily vacuuming, power tools, blow dryers, and lots of other sounds.

They will start on solids this week too which is a big step and a lot of mess! Poppy will appreciate having to feed them less and be able to just play with them more. They will get better with the puppy potty tray too. Puppies are naturally clean and will take themselves away from their bedding to toilet. A lot happens this week!
