Puppy Paddling joined forces with OSO Arabian performance farm at the East coast Arabian championships in Sydney. Sooo many laughs, many kilometres walked, horse washing, presenting, plaiting, hosing and clapping hands and the ribbons that were hauled in by the team! Definitely a working holiday and loved every second of it!

I just want to say a special thank you for helping me with Ziggy. Ziggy has been coming to Puppy Paddling since he was a 10 kilo puppy and over the last three years, he has grown into a 30 kilo terror.
Ziggy is by no means an easy dog and as you know, he has had lots of behavioural quirks that have been challenging to deal with. That said, you have been known as the Ziggy whisperer since day one - no muzzles, no nonsense. You even brush Ziggy’s tail and pants without a treat in sight which is gobsmacking because brushing is Ziggy’s least favourite pastime.

More recently, Ziggy was diagnosed with type one diabetes. Ziggy became resistant to being dosed with insulin via syringe needle and responded to it with aggression. Feeling hopeless, I reached out to you and you responded with kindness and care - going out of your way just to help twice a day. Vets had not been able to crack the Ziggy code but you did straight away and we can now dose Ziggy twice a day without so much as a growl.

You are a very special person and your ability to work with animals that are sometimes touted as being “beyond help” has been a blessing for us.

Here’s to another year of puppy paddling!
