SMITH Diesel Fitting PTY LTD is looking for a Full Time (40-50 hrs per week) trade qualified Diesel Fitter. The position is primarily field based work with service vehicle and also our own workshop facility. Mostly working on but not limited to, New and used - Agricultural machinery, trucks, and earthmoving equipment.
The position involves a wide variety of work. If you are looking for something different, this could be the change you’re looking for.
Great working conditions and a great support network in an established company.
The successful applicant will need to think on their feet, be efficient, honest, a great communicator and be able to meet deadlines. Working in Toowoomba and surrounds.

Case IH 250 Magnum 1000 hour transmission service. No problems with this tractor. Transmission suction screen had some leftover loctite caught in it from factory assembly. Cleaned out with solvent and all back together. Happy farming. 🚜🧰🛠️

🐎 Horse float we had in for overhaul.
- Plywood floor rotted out. Replaced with new marine ply and sealed with paint. The original rubber glued back onto ply. Sealed rubber joins with silicone to keep moisture out.
- suspension, axles and all brake components replaced as axles were bent and brakes totally worn out. Brake emergency breakaway battery replaced and cable replaced. A great result for our client. Safe and practical to use. 🐎🧰🛠️

Cat 924G Loader. Came in for leaking crowd/ tilt hydraulic cylinder. We stripped it and resealed cylinder with a genuine seal kit. Engine bay had a major leak. Turned out to be a cracked rocker cover.
