Christmas polo is back!! After a 6 year break the Christmas polo event is set to become a permanent fixture on the Victorian Polo calendar again.

Celebrate Christmas with a day of good food, great drinks and exceptional polo at the historic Chirnside Polo Fields located just behind the Werribee mansion hotel in the Werribee Park precinct.

Last reminder to get your nominations in for Equitana:::

The VPA are very excited to have the opportunity to showcase our sport at Equitana this year.

Equitana takes place in the heart of Melbourne at the Melbourne Showgrounds. We will be holding a 3 aside game at 3.45pm on Friday 15th November on the Kubota Outdoor competition arena.

The VPA is calling for nominations for this match. We would like to put forward the highest handicap teams that we can. The surface is great and we will be using an arena ball for the purpose of this match.

Equitana are providing prizes for the winning (and loosing team) and our long term sponsors OTT will be providing a rug for the best performed OTT playing pony. Alongside this you will receive a ticket for all of Friday to go in and watch the action. The Grand prix show jumping is on before the polo and there are over 300 brands exhibiting in the marketplace. Polo trucks will be given permission to drive in next to the arena and tie to trucks as normal, with hoses near by

Nominations close at COB on Wednesday 25th September to allow the teams to be selected, before Teams are submitted to Equitana to go into the programme on 1st October.

Those playing in Melbourne Cup will be accommodated to ensure no clashes.

The VPA are also looking for two shirt/team name sponsors. A fantastic way to get your brand exposed to a large audience. We will also be using our own commentator who can plug your brand to the crowd. For pricing options please chat to [email protected]

With the 2025 Polo Season fast approaching (the season runs from November 24 through to April 25) we are looking for a food/drink van who wants to attend our polo days at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre.

Would suit smaller van. Footfall approx 100 per day. Premium parking next to our club house with power available. Polo usually starts 10am through to 4pm. Would prefer one van to cover the season.

Another option would be for a person to work from our club house, bringing pre prepared food and cook a BBQ if you didn’t have your own van.

Welcome to Vallex Polo Club for the Victorian Polo Association Ladies Championships 2024. We are excited to be hosting this tournament for the third year in a row. The tournament will take place on the 30th and 31st January.



The tournament will accept team and individual nominations for:

A Grade : 10-12 Goal

B Grade : 6-8 Goal

C Grade : Low goal

Please note: Handicap levels are a guide and the tournament committee reserves the right to alter these in the interest of a fun tournament, based upon the entries received.



The Vallex Club house will be open for food and drinks.



We look forward to welcoming as many ladies as possible to the field for a few days of great polo. Prizes for all grades, Best playing pony and MVP.



Nominations close at 12 noon on Tuesday 23rd January 2024. The tournament programme will be released shortly after the close of nominations.

The Victorian Polo Association invites all juniors who are 19 and under on the 1st October 2023 to attend the annual polo school.



Our coaches for the two day's include Andrew Williams, Ruki Baillieu and Jack Berner who all play polo professionally around the world.



Run over two days we cater for riders who are proficient in riding and confident cantering on their own, through to experienced players.

Minimum age to participate is 10 years old.

For those without suitable horses we can point you in the right direction to hire horses at an additional cost.



Over the two days a Victorian Junior squad will be selected to play in a match against another state junior team in 2024. Only participants in this clinic will be eligible.



The day runs from 10am - 4pm with a break for lunch. The cost of participation is $150. If you are not a current financial junior player you will need to purchase an additional coaching/school membership at $60. The $150 includes a BBQ lunch both days and all instruction.



Each morning at 10am we will start with an introduction in the Melbourne Polo fields Club house to discuss the day ahead. Instruction will be both whiteboard/classroom based, on foot and on horseback.
