🌱 Freshly Harvested Broad Beans! 🌱

We're thrilled to share our beautiful bounty of broad beans, freshly picked from the garden! These vibrant, nutritious beans will be available for purchase at the Werribee Park Family Farm Day this Sunday, December 1st, for just $5 per kilo.

Looking to grow your own? We'll also have seeds from our rare mix of white, chocolate, and scarlet-flowering broad beans—perfect for your garden!

💚 Any unsold produce will be donated to Reaching Out in the Inner West, supporting their efforts to cook meals for those in need in our community.

🌱✨ Finally we've finished the veg signs for our garden! We hope this makes it easier for everyone to find their way through our veggie patches and learn more about what’s growing. 🥕🌽🧑‍🎨

Come join us for our first Family Farm Day at Werribee Park this Sunday 3rd October from 10am. We'll have presentations from local garden guru Craig Castree at 11am & 1pm, a guided orchard tour at midday, and blacksmithing demos, bric-a-brac, organic onsite grown veg for purchase, and many of our historic points of interest will be opened up for you to explore. 🌻🎨 Meet Our New Scarecrow! 🎨🌻

Our garden has a brand new member! 👩‍🌾 This amazing scarecrow was crafted with love by the incredible participants of our All Abilities Organic No-Dig Veg Growing Programme. 🌱✨

Not only is it helping to keep our crops safe, but it’s also a colorful reminder of the creativity and teamwork that makes our garden thrive. 💚🌿

A big shoutout to our incredible volunteers who have been hard at work in the garden this week!
As the soil warms up and plant growth starts speeding up with the longer days, now is the ideal time to give your veg a top dressing of fertiliser. Here our volunteers are using a Gyganic, an organic based fertiliser to give our soil and it's inhabitants a kick start to the spring. Remember, one of the keys to no-dig organic gardening is to feed the soil, not the plants.

Veg sales this Sunday at the tree festival. Bring your own bag. We'll be selling veg from one of the stalls, but will also have a small selection of seedlings, seeds, and, not to be missed, mixed bags of the stunning dahlias we grew last summer, which we'll sell from inside the veg patches.

🥕 The locals just can't get enough of our produce. 🐰Get in before the rush, we sell direct from the garden, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, 10am until midday.

🌿🐔 Our chickens are living their best life! On the farm, nothing goes to waste, and our flock enjoy nothing more than munching on some fresh scraps straight from our plots. They've got good taste! 🥕🌽

It may be mid-winter, but we've still got a range of salad greens, and leafy greens and root veg for hearty stews and soups, all available fresh from the garden. Or if you like it hot, we still have some chillies, coriander, and even limes available. We're selling from the garden this Sunday from 9.30am until midday.
