EV hosted the first of our coaching forums yesterday, with many of Victoria’s coaches engaging in productive discussions.
The purpose of the forum was to encourage transparent and open discussions on the current state of coaching in Australia, and how we can help to make recommendations and improvements to the current system
Key take aways discussed that coaches viewed as important included:
Review of the re-accreditation timelines and continuous development opportunities throughout the coaching accreditation process
Early engagement on the syllabus and support for training prior to the reaccreditation period
Technology Face to Face guidance and assistance for Victorian members to assist with the online components for coaching
Better affordable and accessible insurance options that give broader cover to the range of activities that modern coaches engage in
More opportunities to be mentored by visiting respected International coaches
Better promotion of their coaching services via EA/EV channels such as websites, newsletter and social media
Reengage and revitalise coaches that have moved out of the EA system
EA & EV are committed to working with our coaches, the national body and other state branches to make our coaching system better and offer the best possible coaching experience for our membership
