✨✨✨ DENTAL DAYS AT VEVC ✨✨✨
We are delighted to announce that as of next week Mick Field from Equident will be bringing his dental expertise to VEVC, giving us the opportunity to host regular dental days here moving forward - yay!!
Our first dental day kicks off on Tuesday 6th August, and although that day is already nearly full we are now taking bookings for the next couple of dates that Mick has available, so give us a ring for more information and to get your horses booked in!
A bit about Mick…
Mick Field is a professional non veterinary equine dentist with international experience and accreditation. He is licensed by the WA Veterinary Surgeons Board to perform category 2 corrective dental procedures and administer sedation with Dr Donna Colvin BSc BVMS (Hons) as his supervising veterinarian.
Mick's Field’s interest in horses began aged 7. He later rode track work in both the UK and Germany and was jump racing until the age of 21 when his weight got the better of him and so he searched for another career.
In 1990 he studied at the World Wide Equine Inc in Nebraska, USA, followed by further training in the UK, Ireland and Florida, USA.
Dentistry has taken Mick from the UK to Sweden, Ireland, USA, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, New Zealand. He has called WA home since 2007.
Mick has attended numerous equine dental conferences in the USA to obtain qualifications and update on new techniques and equipment. He also regularly works with two current examiners of the International Association of Equine Dentistry.
