We also have inhouse services of a travelling specialist surgeon Dr Tom Smith, along with travelling specialist ultrasonography by appointment.

BABY BIRD FLIGHT SCHOOL SEASON

While we do really appreciate good samaritans bringing in baby birds that appear lost, unless they are in immediate danger or inured, often the parents will be nearby.

These two cuties came in today for their vaccinations. They enjoyed their social outing with lots of rough and tumble play in the waiting room.

This super good boy was found running along Main street just now and a very kind passer by bought him in to us 🐾

Fortunately he has a chip 😊 unfortunately his address details don't seem to be current and neither of the numbers are answering 🥺

💥Veterinary Position Available💥 – Full Time/Part Time.
Maternity position with potential long term opportunity for the right person.

One of our amazing vets Dr Dani is taking some leave to embark on her own exciting family journey, so we are on the hunt for an additional awesome Veterinarian to join our team! 😁

The opportunity will be initially offered as a 6 month maternity leave position, beginning in October 2024. The possibility of this becoming a longer term position is likely. Experience is preferred but we are open to all applications. 😻

Westbrook Veterinary Surgery is an independently and local family-owned clinic that has been operating since 2012.
We are part of a small community with a fantastic client base. Westbrook is a new and developing suburb on the western outskirts of Toowoomba, just 2 hours west of Brisbane. Toowoomba is Southern Queensland’s largest inland city yet still has a country town vibe. Renowned for its beautiful parks and gardens, excellent schools, art, and sporting facilities, it is a great place to raise your family. 🏞

We have a very supportive and friendly working environment as we believe going to work should be enjoyable. Along with providing quality patient care and positive client interactions an important focus is finding someone who fits well into our team. 🐾

We have a purpose-fitted clinic, In-house Idexx Catalyst and Lasercyte blood machines, DR radiology, Tonometer, Ultrasound, IM3 dental machine, IM3 dental x-ray, anaesthetic monitoring equipment including a multiparameter, ap-alert, pulse oximetry and BP monitoring.
With a team of 3 vets (both part time and full time) we aim to always have 2 vets in the clinic. Our clinic is open from 8.00-5.30 Monday to Friday. We have 30-minute consultations and no afterhours with a 24-hour emergency centre nearby for transfer of cases along with a travelling specialist surgeon who visits when required. 🐕

Our other vets and nurses are also happy to chat with any interested parties so that you can get a better idea of the great culture that the practice actively promotes! 🤩

We have the flexibility to offer a part time position of 2 days per week, right up to a full time position of 4 days per week. Salary is above award, dependent on experience. 🐈‍⬛

With the warmer weather approaching NOW is the time to ensure your faithful friend is up to date with their heartworm prevention. And if they aren't or you may have missed a dose or two in the past then for the months of September and October we are offering FREE in-clinic heartworm testing to get them back on track.
