Vale Ottoman 'Otto'
2000-2025 🥲
It is with very heavy hearts we share the passing of our incredible horse Otto.
He came to us as a four year old and quickly had heads turning, with his awesome presence and kind demeanour.
He was one of the most photogenic and photographed horses in our herd. His photo even graced a major vaulting fundraiser of 'Otto' socks.
He was a big heavy boy who never took advantage of his size.......18 hands and 980 kg of pure magnificence, light of foot but with an extended canter that could shake the ground!
In his younger years he helped train our squad vaulters in preparation of our first Australian squad to reach a World Equestrian Games (Kentucky USA 2000.)
He was so kind and gentle that he could be ridden by anyone, including little ones.
We are all heartbroken!
25 Years was a fair innings for a big beautiful heavy horse but he leaves a huge hole both in our herd and also in our hearts!
Thank you Otto, we are sooo lucky to have had the privilege of knowing you.
May you run wild and free across that rainbow bridge.
We miss you!
