Well ... it's December! How crazy is that?

Lots happening here at Ballodair Park, with some exciting announcements on the horizon. In the meantime ...

Brett Parbery will be back in 2026, bigger and better than ever. So mark up your new calendars, and drop us an email to [email protected] if you want to go on the mailing list for any of these upcoming dressage clinics with one of Australia's best trainers.

Please note that we can provide a safe yard for your horse (for a small charge) if you need to stay in Sydney, but we're not set up for people camping. We can advise local accommodation options if required.

Thanks to the tireless crew at Sydney Dressage Club, we're pleased to announce 2 more competitions at Ballodair, a final farewell to dressage for the year!

Please note that we're featuring Young Horse classes, so people can start getting themselves ready for the big YH classes at next year's Sydney CDI.

Well, that was a fabulous final Brett Parbery clinic for 2025. Congrats to all the riders, so glad you had fun!

Brett will be back at Ballodair in 2026. So, to start the new year off with a clean slate, if you're on the 2025 mailing list can you please email Kyra in the office to confirm you want to receive ongoing updates on next year's clinics. Ok, non-horse related random post. Friends, I have some furniture looking for a new home. A single bed, a really lovely extendable dining table and chairs, plus a sideboard. Oh, and a low timber coffee table.

Brett Parberry clinic update:

We're full for the November clinic.

I'm in the process of sorting dates for 2026. We'll host Brett as often as his hectic schedule permits, so if you're keen to take part in any of his clinics next year, please send us an email to [email protected] and we'll put you on the mailing list.

Please note that being included on that list doesn't guarantee a slot in any clinic. No lesson is confirmed until payment is received. We also can't guarantee your preferred riding time. We will be offering a range of available times for each clinic, and those times will remain firm and will be considered reserved once payment is received.

We do get people keen to sit in on lessons. Since we can't assume that riders are fine with being audited, the only lessons we can authorise for observation are our staff lessons. Otherwise you'll need to clear it with the person riding.

Sorry to be so hard-and-fast about it, but we need to make it simple and streamlined for us and for you.

Well! We survived the drama and now our indoor school is done and dusted. We're taking the rest of the week to make sure it's riding right, and that we have a handle on the new irrigation system, so feel free to message for bookings starting next Monday. In the meantime, the outdoor arena is available again.

Arrghhhh! Ok. Because nothing is ever simple, the crew hasn't been able to complete the upgrade of the indoor arena as planned. Delays via the trucking company meant the new sand did not arrive as intended - and of course, it's a long weekend now with all kinds of plans made that can't be changed.

At this stage, we're cautiously optimistic that the upgrade will be completed on Tuesday, but stay tuned here and as soon as we can make the arenas available for hire again, we'll let you know.

In the meantime, everyone have a safe and relaxing long weekend, and don't forget daylight savings starts from Sunday!
