MATTING!

It's a painful condition that can lead to other health concerns such as infections or skin irritations and can also mask other health issues or parasites. Matts cut off the air flow in your dog's hair and can trap moisture, which can cause irritation and sores on your dog. Even mild matting can be painful, but in severe cases, matting can cut off circulation to your dog's skin and cause hematomas. In some circumstances, matting may be so severe that you would need to take your dog to a veterinarian for treatment.

So if your dog is badly matted please let us know when making your booking, because we will fit you in after hours.

What happens if you don't get your dog's nails trimmed regularly ?

long nails hit the ground, it puts force on the foot and leg structure. This force can potentially lead to arthritis, joint & ligament injuries and ongoing pain. The growth pattern of a dog's nails forms a curved shape. If left untrimmed, the claws will eventually curve under the dog's paws and dig into the skin, creating pain when they walk.

FLUFFY PAWS PET GROOMING IN WINGHAM have exciting news. Our next step has arrived. Due to the fabulous support we have been receiving from our local community we are now looking for a part time trainee leading into full time to join our family team.

The person we are looking for doesn't need any experience in the grooming industry as I will provide all the training. The right person will have a Love, passion and patience for dogs, good customer service, reliable transport and a car license preferred but not necessary and willing to learn all aspects of our grooming salon, which will include but not limited to taking phone calls, booking in clients, washing & drying dogs and having some knowledge of our products we sell.

I've been struck down with influenza so I'm sorry to say that my salon will be closed for the rest of the week. Hopefully all going well I'll be back on Monday fighting fit. For all my customers that had appointments this week I'll try and fit you all in asap.
