Moggies & Mutts is planning to close this year due to ongoing health issues requiring ongoing treatment & surgical treatment.
I will honour all prebooked appointments for the year. I dont want to close but when I have surgery, I dont know how long I'll be unavailable. I promise to keep you all informed as I progress.
This is not easy for me mentally & financially.
I am beside myself with the prospects of surgery but the Drs need to sort it out.

I do not want sympathy as I have survived the floods & the aftermath like hundreds of others who are still struggling with the trauma almost 3 years on. My issues are nothing compared to those still struggling to have a safe home.

I hate letting anyone down as I love each & everyone of you & your furbabies. I hope & pray that this is just a hurdle & I will be back grooming 100% down the track.

Due to ongoing health issues, I will be taking a break from grooming in the New Year. It has been a very difficult decision, I just need a little R & R.

Due to a significant change in my personal circumstances I will be downsizing Moggie & Mutts Pet Grooming in the new year. I will only have limited appointments available each month as I have family commitments to attend to in Sydney. I know there will be disappointed people & I apologise. The choice I had was to up & move south for around 6+ months, or allocate time each month to head south.

I decided the latter so I could still continue grooming for as many clients as I can.

Due to a recent workplace injury & ongoing health issues, I can no longer groom medium-large dogs & have to cut down my workload as per Drs recommendations.

It has been a heartbreaking few days coming to this decision. Unfortunately for some I will have to cancel appointments but will be in contact asap.

I love my job but need to put my health first in order to continue working as best I can.

Hey puppy people 🐶🐾💕

Due to an unfortunate situation where I was knocked over twice by a large Groodle yesterday when grooming, I have hurt my back. I am hoping it is nothing more than a little soreness from landing on my butt.
I am going to have to reschedule some appointments but will be in contact with those I may need to move.

It is the busy season & I'm already swamped so please understand I'm doing my best.

Hey everyone, Kirsty here sending a big hello to all my clients and followers.

A while ago I mentioned that I was unable to take on any new clients. This is still the case as I am run off my feet. A number of current clients have added furbabies to their families over the last few months so I've had to add them to my books leaving me stretched to full capacity.

I am also fully booked until mid October & am now getting requests for Christmas appointments. I am doing my best to fit everyone in but there are only so many hours in a day.

My apologies for any newcomers wanting to see me. At this stage I really have to stay firm & attend to all my current clients first.

A big hello to all my wonderful clients & followers. It is a new financial year & I have just had to register for GST. I'm glad business is going well, not so glad the government want more money.

As a result I have to increase my prices to accommodate this. I will be increasing by $5-10 depending on size of dog. If you have an queries, please feel free to ask.

To all my wonderful followers & friends. I am finally taking the advice of many caring clients & will be taking time off for myself in August. It is long overdue as I haven't had time off since February 2022.

For those who already have August appointments booked, I will still be working those particular days to do your babies.

I have been trying to take a break for a while as working 6-7 days a week for so long has finally caught up with me. It's time to have a little rest.

I will still be contactable during my time off.

Hey everyone....Kirsty here from the Wollongbar Grooming Garage. Today I got a visit from Council regarding complaint/s about me running my business from my mums garage. After losing everything in the Lismore floods, my mum allowed me to take over her home so I could continue to do what I love.....grooming your dogs.

Though I havent been told specifics, apparently one of the issues is a traffic concern. I can't see how 4-5 cars popping into my house for a few minutes during the day can be a traffic issue.

Until I can get to the bottom this can you please park in one of the driveways if possible when you drop your dogs off. The house has 2 driveways, one either side.

Those who know me well are aware that working with animals is not just a job, it's my life. It is what gets me up every morning & keeps me going. Working with animals gives my life purpose. It is my therapy.

Other issues apparently, though again I haven't been given specifics is smell & noise my grooming is creating. For one simple lone groomer, I apparently am causing quite a fuss for someone/people.

I will endeavour to sort this out promptly to make sure I am abiding by council in every respect. For now though, please use the driveways or park directly outside the house.

I am dealing with my health issues accordingly but just wanted to keep you informed.

Just to give a quick update. I am still working & grooming. I just have some drs appointments I need to attend to which may require me to reschedule some clients appointments that have already been made. Unless I have contacted you, all current appointments are still going ahead. 😊🐾

To all my wonderful clients & followers, I have to let you know I have been having some health issues of late & unfortunately have had to cancel appointments because of it. While I do my best to reschedule asap to accommodate you pups needs, I still need to take time to get my health sorted.

I will be required to have further tests coming up so may have to reschedule client appointments that I have booked. I will do my best to give as much notice as possible of appointment changes.

I have always put your pups needs first, squeezing here & there to get you babies groomed but for now I have to put myself first.
Most clients so far have been very understanding but a few have left me shocked as I have had to put off their grooms & can't get them back in straight away.

I love my work & would be lost if I couldn't continue doing it. That is why I need to concentrate on getting my health sorted so I can continue doing what I love for all of you.
