s. It’s a Smart coop and you get more of what you want than a normal coop. Box Divvy is a food box sharing system connecting growers & food producers directly with the Food. It is community owned and run designed to cut your food bill. You join online - there is no registration fee. https://www.boxdivvy.com/ You use an App on your phone or computer or a pad to order. Working with Western Sydney Diabetes Alliance - our aim is to provide accessible, inexpensive good quality fresh food.

4 DAY ORDER CYCLE – FOR Wednesday pick up

Friday 9pm – Order creation
It’s an OPT OUT SYSTEM so if you don’t want an order for the coming week, you must suspend prior to Friday 9pm. Your “WISH LIST VOTE” and any changes you wish to make to your household size must also be done by Friday 9pm. Saturday - Starting Order Published
Login take up to 3 things out and JOIN SPLITS. Monday 9pm - CUTOFF
Orders closed. Cards charged. There are 2 automatic processing’s, if those both decline - a $5 recharge fee is applied as it pays for someone to manually reprocess. You must pay BEFORE pick-up. Wednesday - PICK UP. You must pick up day of delivery at the pick-up time or arrange with Hubster. PAYMENTS
You must pay for your order once committed to an order cycle. Once in an Order Cycle we cannot withdraw an order. It is your responsibility to suspend the correct weeks. ORDERING SYSTEM
Dead simple. You share boxes online using the App. SUSPENDING ORDERS
When you tick the date, wait, it will turn red to confirm suspension. You’re expected to order weekly or fortnightly. STARTING ORDER
There’s a Starting Order based on your weekly ‘wish list’ VOTE and you can take out up to 3 things. Every week BEFORE Order Creation do a Wish List Vote to help Hubster (person who organisers Hub) to set up Starting Order. SHARE BOXES known as SPLITS
If you wish for more, you join Splits and share boxes. You can suggest a box to share or to your Hubster. Such as saying to your group: “Who’d like to share a box of apples?”

At order cut-off you pay automatically online (Visa or Mastercard & Secure Eway Payment gateway) then boxes from growers & food wholesalers come to the Hubster’s house for packing. You pick up from their place or they may offer home delivery. FRUIT, VEG, BREAD, EGGS – Order, pay, receive this week
GROCERIES – Order, pay, receive next week due to fresh roasting of coffee and made to order. BREAD baker direct – Minimum HUB order total is $30
GROCERIES wholesaler direct – Minimum HUB order is $75. MEAT AND SEAFOOD (NEW) – Order every 4 weeks. READ THE AMOUNTS YOU ARE PURCHASING
Please check carefully if the items are single, handfuls, 500gm, 1 kg etc. Don't assume it's by one item. EXAMPLE: Cherries sold by the box, make sure you’re not putting in 5 thinking it's handfuls when it's boxes. Read the descriptions please. EXTRAS
There are ALWAYS extras as the box belongs to members so your Hubster will divvy extras when available. There is also usually a SWAP box - if you forget to customise your Starting Order, you can throw in some apples and take out some carrots that someone else did not want. You will get great value. COMMUNITY BOX
Many Hubster’s ask members if this SWAP BOX can become a COMMUNITY KINDNESS BOX given to a family in need. This is part of the Social Enterprise experience by being part of the Hub. NOT WANT AN ORDER? There are no contracts, you can suspend orders when you don’t want them. WANT EXACTLY 1 tomato 2 oranges? Then Box Divvy is not for you. This is a coop and things are in handfuls NOT exact items. You need to be flexible but you'll always get good value. We are a group of community minded people wanting to change the food system. Reduce packaging and pay our farmers fairly. By reducing our carbon footprint by 90% this means we buy in bulk as a group and then share it. We need to be a bit flexible. You will know roughly what you will get but you can’t get exact. We have a Packing Guide but the numbers will change as produce is smaller or larger. Mostly you will get extras overall. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT I SPEND? EASY. You will pay the STARTING ORDER PLUS if you join in SPLITS or ADD Groceries. At the bottom of MY ORDER you will see the MAX you will pay if all your SPLITS get over the line, any groceries you’ve ordered and the Starting Order. You can reduce the SPLITS or Groceries you joined BEFORE CUTOFF. PACKAGING
Much of the produce comes loose so please provide your Hubster with a NAME LABELLED BAG: ALSO - calico/wash nets to put handfuls in (do not expect your Hubster to provide paper bags please): Bring in your old icecream containers, for example, for the Hub to put soft stuff in. If you get an item in plastic, recycle it in your soft plastic bin. We don't interrupt the packing from the farmer. Farmers are trying to work out how to transport produce and it can’t always be plastic free - for the moment. The Sugar Cane bags are not strong, don't last and definitely not airtight. Cardboard and paper fall apart. New technology is being worked on. NOT FOR ME
If after you’ve tried it and Box Divvy is not working the way you want, then you can cancel membership. So? Join our group to make a difference. You have the power to do so. Cut your food bill significantly – Wow! The goal: to cut your food bill, without compromising on the quality, freshness and variety of food. With minimal effort, minimal packaging and food miles, and still paying farmers and suppliers a fair price for their produce.

Box Divvy ReSmart Initiative 2024–2025

This week is National Recycling ♻️ Week (10–16 November 2025) and this is the perfect time to get on board with our latest sustainability push. Box Divvy is rolling out 350 shiny new 240L wheelie bins to Hubs across NSW/ACT because soft plastics don’t belong in landfill, and we can do better.

Our 2024 Southern Highlands trial proved it: six Hubs collected 750kg of soft plastics in just a few months. Now, thanks to a $17,235 NSW EPA grant (matched by Box Divvy), all our Hubs can join in. Members pay nothing - just bring your scrunchable plastics to your Hub on collection day, and our drivers will whisk them away.

Partnering with ReSmart (formerly known as RecycleSmart), all that plastic gets a new life via APR Plastics, turning it into food-grade bags and it can be recycled again. So come on, Box Divvy community, let’s ditch the landfill, keep our planet happy, and show Australia how it’s done.

Tea

This may not everyone’s cuppa tea, but hear me out…Impra Tea is short for Imperial Tea of Ceylon – modern day Sri Lanka. They are one of the largest tea exporters in Sri Lanka, and considered one of the best brands. They are also overstocked, so you won’t need a lot of money to buy them: just $5 for a box of 250 bags, which works out at 2c per bag. Supermarket brands are typically between 4c and 10c per bag – so you’re getting these at half price. Better even: Big W, eBay and Kogan sell these tea bags: $58 for a box of 1000, or $14.50 for the 250’s. That’s nearly triple the Box Divvy price…!

Crackin’ Good Hunter or Moonbi Valley Eggs

Hunter Valley and Moonbi Valley have a large overhang of stock, and they’ve asked us to drop the price to just $6.37 a dozen. (They were $8.37 a month ago). This new price is cheaper than any mainstream brand, even supermarket private labels. We get about 80% from Hunter Valley (stocking density of just 950 per hectare), and the rest from Moonbi (stocking density of 10,000/ha)

Adamstown Pudding Kitchen

The origins of the Adamstown Pudding Kitchen date back to 1971, when a church member turned to her grandmother’s pudding recipe to make a dessert for a church fundraiser, in thankfulness for her brother returning safely from the Vietnam War.

Since 1971 Adamstown Pudding Kitchen has been producing superb gourmet puddings famous for their moist consistency and full flavour. Produced to an old family recipe in a modern commercial kitchen, Adamstown Pudding Kitchen uses only the finest natural Australian ingredients, where possible. As a result of our tradition for quality products, our puddings have been recognised as one of Australia’s finest gourmet puddings.

Not only are these puddings delicious they are also excellent value. Profits from their sales are used by the Adamstown Uniting Church to support a range of welfare and community programs in Newcastle, Australia and overseas.
There’s a Pudding for everyone: Traditional, or vegan, paleo, gluten-free or Gourmet (for example, Double Choc Cherry, anyone?)

Pastoral Hams: Australia’s most awarded hams

Pastoral Hams are made from 100% Australian pork. The stock is raised on the prime banks of the Lachlan River in the Central West region of Cowra. Made from a recipe that hasn’t changed for over 20 years, its hams have won medals in 11 consecutive Royal Easter Shows and were voted Gourmet Travellers’ Best Christmas Ham.

All livestock is raised in Eco-Sheds that are temperature controlled for animal welfare. Animals are free to roam in and out of sheds. This minimises stress on animals and results in ultimately superior ham products.

Pastoral Hams follow a traditional process, with hams trimmed by master-trained butchers. The hams are then cured for two days and then smoked using birchwood. This infuses the hams with a subtle smoke taste.

Once this processing has been completed, each ham is then quality checked, and vacuum packaged to ensure hams keep in optimal condition. When packed, the hams have a use-by date of around mid-January.

Available as a 5-6kg Half Leg Bone-in ($98) or 4kg boneless ham ($89). These prices have hardly changed for the past 3 years. Orders are open for 2 week (until 14 November) only. Please check Box Divvy Marketplace (Chilled ➡️ Meat ➡️ Pork) for product details.

La Molisana pasta

We know you like Balducci pasta: it's great value and good for a weekday meal.

But from time to time, you want something special: a real Italian pasta to which your sauce clings and holds. That premium pasta we've sold for the past year (Cara Nonna) was probably too premium, judging by how little we were selling.

So we're putting on the next best thing: La Molisano is considered one of Italy's top-3 pastas, and is a couple of dollars cheaper than Cara Nonna.

Try some out this week!

A new study shows that joining a local food co-op like Box Divvy can help people eat healthier and feel more confident about putting good food on the table.

The study was done by Western Sydney University and the University of Wollongong. It looked at how our friends at Box Divvy support families across Sydney.

Here’s what they found after talking to over 2,000 members:

- People were less likely to skip meals or buy less healthy food
- Fruit and vegetable intake went up, especially for people who were doing it tough
- On average, members ate 2.5 more serves of fruit and 3.3 more serves of vegetables each week
- The biggest improvements were seen in young adults, single parents, and families with lower incomes.

These small changes can help people move closer to a healthier diet - and lower their risk of long-term health problems like type 2 diabetes.
