Andrew became a vet in 1964. He came to the Illawarra in 1966 and operated his own practice in Corrimal until 2001. From 2001-2021, he worked as a mobile vet. In 2021, he became ill with an autoimmune disease, from which he still suffers. Although Andrew had hoped to recover enough to continue to offer veterinary advice, he is unable to do so and has now officially announced his retirement. Andrew has loved caring for animals and their owners for the best part of 60 years - a legacy to be proud of. I will shut down this page in a few days, but if anyone would like to leave a message in the meantime, I will see that it reaches Andrew. (From Susie, Andrew’s eldest daughter)

2023 update: Andrew is still dealing with the effects of Guillain Barre Syndrome. Sadly, he also lost his wife, Diana, who passed away in October 2022. It is not anticipated that Andrew will be able to return to veterinary practice, but we are keeping this page open for now to accept and pass on any good wishes that people would like to send. Just a quick update for those who have been asking: Andrew has been in hospital since late October. He is recovering from an auto immune disease called Guillian Barre Syndrome. While he is now making steady progress, he is not able to perform veterinary duties at this time. We will certainly post here if and when that changes. We regret that we are unable to recommend any other mobile vets, as we don’t have that information to hand. Best wishes from Andrew’s family.
