Bucket list item complete, we had so much fun at Wallaby Hill Extravaganza!

Dressed as Harley Quinn & The Joker, it really just made heart so full to be able to compete again with my special girl ❤️

It was incredibly foggy and we could hardly see 2 feet in front of us, but despite the terrible conditions my girl jumped so well! Unfortunately we had a mishap with one of the jumps and Magpie hurt her back leg so I pulled her up and immediately retired. It was devastating to not be able to finish our round, especially as we had gone clear at this point and only had a few jumps to go, but her safety comes first always.
I know I made the right call as she continued holding her leg up for the rest of the day, but she is doing my much better today thankfully

I’m very excited for the year ahead now that the best girl is back in action 🥰

Had the absolute best weekend away with the SHC crew!

It was a big few days and such a tough ride but it was so worth it to see the gorgeous Craig’s Hut in person!

I purchased Bobby sight unseen from the online auction. He is a great horse with awesome potential, but unfortunately he just isn’t the right horse for me at this point in time.

Bobby is a total sweetheart! We formed a bond super quickly and since then he follows me everywhere, he loves a cuddle.

He needs a lot more ridden work but with time and consistency I think he will make an amazing horse.

Bobby’s biggest vice is when it comes to floating. Since bringing him home I have not been able to take him out again. I have an angle load which he doesn’t like, I think he would go well on a straight load but I can’t say for certain. I was told he has been trucked before in the past without issues.

I love this horse a lot and it breaks my heart to have to move him on, but I thought I was buying a more established horse and I just don’t have the time he needs.

He will be the perfect project for the right person.

BRC Clear Round Jumping with Cimmeron

I borrowed the good boy again over the weekend for a little bit of jumping.
I picked the worst day to up the heights as it was so hot and gross, but Cimmeron tried his heart out and did so well!
We had a clear round in the 45cm and then only one rail down in the 60cm which was my fault, so proud of him 🥰

My heart is so full 🥰

Today it was my turn to be on the sidelines and support Bev Bartle and Cimmeron at their first competition together - Keira PC Gala Weekend
Well they absolutely smashed it and placed 1st!

At the end of the day everyone was allowed to do a non-competitive round and try the grade above if they wanted. I told mum to just have another go at her grade for fun and extra practice, next thing she’s out there jumping the higher jumps!
My heart was in my throat the whole time, I now know how she feels watching me

So proud of my mum for really pushing herself out of her comfort zone today and giving it a go, that hard work is paying off!
As always I’m super proud of Cimmeron too, he is just the absolute best horse 🤍

This horse never fails to impress me!

I was saying to mum that I want to start doing some work with Cimmeron as I believe with practice then we could get him jumping up to 60cm, she agreed
Day 1 of training, we started low but he was doing so well that I just kept making it higher and wider
I think we need to aim higher!

A couple more photos of our day

Hamish was on fire all day and jumped so well!
We were meant to have a 3rd round and do the 75cm but unfortunately leading into only the 2nd jump Hamish slipped at the take off and the both of us almost nose dived into the ground. Luckily Hamish was able to save himself but there was no hope for me and I hit the ground pretty hard, so that was our round over. I’m feeling pretty sore today but I’m just so glad my pony is okay!
Don’t worry it was all caught on film (from 2 separate angles) which is the main thing 🤣

On that note, I forgot to mention a very special person in my last post, my best supporter who this all wouldn’t be possible without, my amazing mum! Sorry to give you such a fright but thanks for everything you do for me Bev Bartle ❤️

Mum and Cimmeron absolutely smashed it at pony club yesterday! They raised the heights and did their highest course together, I’m so proud of them both!
