My heart is so full 🥰

Today it was my turn to be on the sidelines and support Bev Bartle and Cimmeron at their first competition together - Keira PC Gala Weekend
Well they absolutely smashed it and placed 1st!

At the end of the day everyone was allowed to do a non-competitive round and try the grade above if they wanted. I told mum to just have another go at her grade for fun and extra practice, next thing she’s out there jumping the higher jumps!
My heart was in my throat the whole time, I now know how she feels watching me

So proud of my mum for really pushing herself out of her comfort zone today and giving it a go, that hard work is paying off!
As always I’m super proud of Cimmeron too, he is just the absolute best horse 🤍

This horse never fails to impress me!

I was saying to mum that I want to start doing some work with Cimmeron as I believe with practice then we could get him jumping up to 60cm, she agreed
Day 1 of training, we started low but he was doing so well that I just kept making it higher and wider
I think we need to aim higher!

A couple more photos of our day

Hamish was on fire all day and jumped so well!
We were meant to have a 3rd round and do the 75cm but unfortunately leading into only the 2nd jump Hamish slipped at the take off and the both of us almost nose dived into the ground. Luckily Hamish was able to save himself but there was no hope for me and I hit the ground pretty hard, so that was our round over. I’m feeling pretty sore today but I’m just so glad my pony is okay!
Don’t worry it was all caught on film (from 2 separate angles) which is the main thing 🤣

On that note, I forgot to mention a very special person in my last post, my best supporter who this all wouldn’t be possible without, my amazing mum! Sorry to give you such a fright but thanks for everything you do for me Bev Bartle ❤️

BRC Show Jumping Championship yesterday

Picton Show 2024!

Well I thought I was done with showing for the year but then I decided last minute to fit in one more. Shout out to mum for getting the ponies clean and ready with less than a week’s notice 😅

We still have a long way to go but I think we’re on the right track! I’ve been taking it slower to begin with but now that we’re making progress I’ll start upping his feed

Churinga Bobby Dazzler 🧡

Well I made it 9 months into the year while maintaining my “no new horses” resolution, that’s still a big win for me! 😅

Meet the new kid on the block!
I bought Bobby home last Monday and he has spent the past week settling in (and also trying to get some weight on him)
Today he had his first day of work and he passed with flying colours! I’m excited to keep working with the big boy, if all goes to plan he’ll be my hunt horse for next season 🦊

Best suited as a 2nd pony to a confident kid but has also been used as a lead line for the past few months

Currently in wooly paddock condition which will be reflected in his price

I will reshare his previous post from when I was looking for a new lease home for him at the start of the year while I work on his sale post

The best girl is back again, hopefully for good this time 🤞🏼

I posted back near the start of the year about her being back in action but I jumped the gun and we had further soundness issues after that. I didn’t announce it but I decided to make the tough decision to just retire her at that point, it was too heart breaking to just keep starting and stopping constantly. Well she must have heard me because from there she’s done a total 180 and has been the best she’s been in a long time!
I brought her back into work recently and we have been working hard behind the scenes, so far things are going really well and today we even did some bigger jumps again

I’ve missed this so much 💛
