Box Divvy is Community owned and run. It's an OP

T IN system so when orders are published you will receive an email and have 3 days to share boxes with other members. You can suggest a SPLIT (share a box) or Join a Split. We purchase as a group and are up to 30% cheaper than online supermarkets. It’s a Smart co-op so you get more of what you want than a regular co-op. We offer: Fruit, Vegetables, Bread, Eggs, Pantry items, Cleaning supplies, Personal care, Meat, Seafood, Dairy, Premade meals and more to come!

4 DAY ORDER CYCLE –FOR Wednesday pick up

Before 9pm Friday as a courtesy for your Hubster if you do not wish an order login, go to MY ORDERS, dropdown ‘skip a week’ and tick the date not wanting an order. If you do fortnightly then this is the place to go to organise your orders. Friday 9pm – Orders are created. You get an email. Note Star Products at the top of the list in SPLITS tab. These are recommendations by your Hubster. The green dollar sign products are good value. Start your order in Marketplace then go to your SPLITS tab. This is explained in your Welcome email. Monday 9pm - CUTOFF
Orders closed. Cards charged. There are 2 automatic processing’s, if those both decline - a $5 recharge fee is applied as it pays for someone to manually reprocess. You must pay BEFORE pick-up. Wednesday - PICK UP. You must pick up day of delivery at the pick-up time or arrange with Hubster.

You must pay for your order once committed to an order cycle. It's OPT OUT. So if you don't want an order, you’ll need to suspend before orders are created. Once in an Order Cycle we cannot withdraw an order. It is your responsibility to suspend the correct weeks. If your payment declines twice there is a $5 recharge fee applied to the third attempt. Stone the crows! Peaches and nectarines are arriving by the truckload now. The quality is excellent and so are the prices: we expect them to come in around $5.75 a kilo. Tops.

Jimmy’s Satay Sauce

We don't know any satay sauce that is more authentic than Jimmy's. Widely used by restaurants and home cooks alike, Jimmy’s Satay Sauce is an essential ingredient in many Southeast Asian dips, marinades, soup, sauce and hotpot bases.
If you crave Malaysian or Indonesian satay, Jimmy's your new friend. It's spicy, but easy to dilute with some coconut cream. Just add half a Tbs to a stir-fry, or make a Killer Satay Sauce:

- Add 1 heaped spoon of Jimmy’s and 3 heaped spoons of crunchy peanut butter to a warm saucepan. Let it get soft.
- Add a can of coconut cream, heat but don’t boil – and stir until well-combined into a creamy, light caramel coloured consistency.
- Add 1-2 Tbs of soy sauce – either ketjap manis if you prefer sweet or regular soy sauce for a more savoury finish. This will also give it some colour. Meanwhile, marinade some chicken, beef or pork in soy sauce, lime juice and a tsp of Jimmy's for a few hours. Cube the meat, put onto skewers, and grill or barbeque on HOT until slightly charred. Spoon satay sauce over the meat and serve with rice.

The same satay sauce can be used to make gado gado: simply steam a bunch of veggies and pour satay sauce over the top.

Ingredients: Vegetable Oil, Peanuts (19%), Soy Sauce (Water, Soybean, Salt, Wheat Flour, Sugar, Caramel), Sugar, Spring Onion, Garlic, Shrimp, Curry, Chili.
Made in Hong Kong for over 60 years. Allergen Warning: contains peanuts, soy, wheat, fish.

The regular price is $8.50 for a 360g jar. It says it contains 17 serves (about a teaspoon), but this will depend on how you use it. For a stir-fry, 1-2 teaspoons is plenty, but for a 500ml bowl of satay sauce, you’ll need 1 Tbs (about 50g).
So that you and Jimmy can get to know each other, we’re taking $1 (about 12%) off for the next 2 weeks until 20 November.

I’m only new to the kombucha world. I was gifted lots of delicious kombucha with meals when we had our son a year ago and we loved it.

In a perfect world I would be making my own kombucha, but we think that this is the next best thing. It’s so good for your gut and a yummy special treat that the older kids enjoy with our Saturday night dinners.

Pastoral Hams: Australias most awarded hams
Available for pre-order (next 2 weeks)!!!

Pastoral hams are made from 100% Australian pork. The stock is raised on the prime banks of the Lachlan river in central west region of Cowra. Made from a recipe that hasn’t changed for over 20 years, its hams have won in 11 consecutive Royal Easter Shows and were voted Gourmet Travellers Best Christmas Ham.

All livestock is raised in Eco-Sheds that are temperature controlled for animal welfare. Animals are free to roam in and out of the sheds. This minimizes stress on animals and results in ultimately superior ham products.

Pastoral hams follow a traditional process, with hams trimmed by master-trained butchers. The hams are then cured for two days and then smoked using birchwood. This infuses the hams with a subtle smoke taste.

Christmas is coming🎄🎄🎄

Our members snatched up some of the delicious Shepherds Bakery Christmas treats this week 🤩

What’s your favourite? The fruit mince pie or the Christmas Persian orange cake?

I’m a big fan of the fruit mince pies. But I’m intrigued to try the Persian orange cake with a Christmas twist. They have fruit inside like a fruit cake and apparently there’s a nice big cherry in the middle 😋

Tonight’s Divvy dinner was baked Ziti!

All made with our Box Divvy ingredients and so easy! Mr 7 said it might be his new favourite dinner 🤩

We used the Angus mince (a favourite of ours) tonight. We get 1 Kg included in our weekly chilled delivery. The quality of this mince is excellent!

Have you tried the new Coolibah honey yet? 🍯 🍯🍯

We have been enjoying it on our morning porridge this week. Its texture is thick like toffee and it’s deliciously sweet like toffee.

New at Box Divvy this week!

- Curly endive (sold as a single bunch) from Steve Grima is $1.73 a bunch. He’s also picking turnip bunches. We know it’s not the most popular vegetable, but it’s very sweet and under-rated.
- Kohlrabi from Charlie Vella is large and we’re now selling as a single bulb at $1.30. They are a wonderful substitute- but creamier - for broccoli stem.

⭐️⭐️New this week! ⭐️⭐️

Cane sugar: Australian made, Australian owned

Over the past 2 years we have been selling H2G organic raw sugar, which is…imported from Paraguay in South America. Turns out, there is no organic sugar made in Australia.

We’re not too fussed about whether it’s organic or not, but we wanted to give our members the option to buy Australian MADE AND OWNED. This is where it became interesting…

- Australia’s biggest sugar brand CSR Sugar is made in Mackey, QLD but owned by Singapore-based Wilmar international.
- Bundaberg Sugar is also made here, but is owned by Belgium-based Societe Financiere des Sucres SA.

We finally land in the northern NSW Tweed Valley where we find Sunshine Sugar: NSW made and Australian owned.

Christmas is in the air!

November 1st somehow is the start of the Christmas season, with Shepherds Fruit mince pies getting us into the mood. They will be available from this week right up to Christmas. They are still delicious and made of real food ingredients, but they are no longer gluten free because the GF casing has become outrageously expensive.

We asked Shepherds if they could come up with a gluten free alternative, so here is a take on the Persian Prange cake. Please note: the holly is not edible, and also a choking hazard for babies and toddlers.
