What an awesome effort by Direct Fire at Rosehill yesterday in winning the Midway over 1300m 🤩🥂🏆. Ridden perfectly by Amy McLucas, “Drake” showed enormous courage and tenacity to win by over a length! Drake’s 3rd win from only 12 starts we look forward to the journey ahead! Sir Sublime broke through for a dominant win at Sapphire Coast on Thursday 🤩. Going straight to the front and perfectly rated by Jess Taylor, “Stubby” never looked in doubt. Stable mate, Ghaznavi finished off strongly to run a clear second making it a stable quinella 🌟. In a good day for the stable, Kitty Okay debuted with an excellent effort to finish 2nd in the Maiden over 1200m and Sebastian’s Flyer continued his consistent form since joining the stable working home strongly from well back to finish 3rd in the Bermagui Cup. Promising filly Deni Lass had her first day out at the races and won the barrier trial. Congratulations to all owners and thank you to our staff and supporters 🥰

Master Riley made it 2 wins from his past 3 starts when he saluted at Newcastle on Tuesday in the Midway Class 1 over 1500m. Given a perfect ride by Jess Taylor, “Riley” showed plenty of fight and determination to win. Riley is such a majestic horse with an impeccable attitude and continues to improve each time he steps out. Looking forward to enjoying the journey with Riley and his fantastic group of owners 🤩. The Bateup Racing Team kicked off the new season in fine style with 3 winners during August 😍. Kickamushu, Mystic Diva and Master Riley all broke through for their Maiden wins. Kickamushu and Mystic Diva have been very consistent performers and were well overdue to knock off their first wins, whilst the lightly raced Master Riley notched his first win at his 4th career start and has never finished out of the first four! Pretty Please ran 2nd to Mystic Diva at Moruya and followed that up with a 3rd in a Super Maiden at Kembla Grange. We look forward to continuing with a successful season. It was great way to finish the 2023/2024 racing season with a winning double at Sapphire Coast Turf Club yesterday and some fantastic runs by the rest of the team 🤩. Tartana claimed the feature race:The South Coast Timber Eden Cup in fine style whilst Mulvader demolished his opposition in the next race to win by 4 1/2 lengths 🏆. Both were ridden superbly by Jess Taylor and the win aboard Tartana brought up our 80th win together 🥰. The wins also saw Jess claim the Jockeys Premiership for the Sapphire Coast season 👏. Sassy Missile just missed in the final race of the program whilst Skaifee ran fantastic and was very unlucky not to win in finishing 3rd. Gunnaheadovski returned in fantastic order from a long spell to run 3rd whilst Mystic Diva resumed with an eye catching 3rd with Kickamushu close behind her in 4th placing. A huge thank you to our whole team that have worked hard all season and looking forward to the season ahead 👏🌟😍. Congratulations to all owners and we look forward to celebrating more winners 🎉

It was the perfect finish to the racing career of Hope Uno winning over 1600m at Tamworth yesterday with a brilliant ride by Anna Roper 🏆👏🤩. Hope has been an extremely honest and consistent mare and we are going to miss having her in the stables as she heads off to be a Mum! Hope retires with a race record of 44 starts for 5 wins, 5 x seconds and 15 x third placings. Coincidentally, Hope won her Maiden at Tamworth over 1200m in 2022 (also with Anna Roper in the saddle) and in between notched up three wins at Sapphire Coast (for Jess Taylor, Molly Bourke and Olivia Chambers) as well as numerous placings including a Randwick midway, Canterbury, Kembla Grange, Gosford, Hawkesbury, Moruya, Goulburn and Queanbeyan. We look forward to seeing her foals in years to come! Thank you to everyone that has played a part in Hope’s career and thank you to “Hope” for being such a pleasure to have in our team for the past 3 years 🥰❤️

Tartana was a dominant winner at Kembla Grange last Tuesday bringing up her 2nd career win in her past three starts. Ridden a treat by Jess Taylor, “Dolly” showed a good turn of foot to win by almost 2 lengths. Dolly is building a solid record and a big congratulations and thank you to her owners who have been patient with her and it was great to have a lot of her owners on course to cheer Dolly on 👏. As always thank you to our staff and supporters 🥰

What a little legend our Foxtrot Bravo is 🤩Today he won the Kembla Grange Stayers Cup 🏆 over 2400m for Jess Taylor and brought up his 5th win and took his career earnings over $200k! Fox is much loved in the stables and very much a stable favourite 😍. We could not be prouder of our Fox and as a 7yo he is racing in career best form. Victory At Omaha also produced a great effort to finish 3rd in the Benchmark 64 1600m. Congratulations to all owners and a huge thank you to our staff 🌟

Direct Fire delivered a dominant all the way win in the Canberra Guineas Preview over 1400m at Canberra yesterday. Working across from a wide barrier, Drake relaxed nicely for Kayla Nisbet and kicked clear over the final stages 🏆. We were back in the winner’s circle at Sapphire Coast on Thursday with a winning double …. Courtesy of an impressive debut victory by Direct Fire (Jess Taylor) and a solid effort by Magic Alwyns (Robyn Freeman). We also had a 2nd placing with Tartana, 3rd placings with Hope Uno and Paziah and Alan ran another honest race finishing 4th. A successful day all round and we also had the trifecta in the trial with Button inthe Plate, Prized Alwyns and Star of the Class set to debut shortly. Congratulations to all of our owners, especially Tom and Tracey Russell who bred Magic Alwyns (and raced her mother Zariz Alwyns with us). Thank you as always to our staff and supporters 💗💗💗
