Practicing a calm place while with sexy dexy.
Teaching our dogs to enjoy calmness in any situation give us opportunity to live in a more peaceful environment.
These two cuties or in for boarding
Although just our boarding program doesnβt include as much training as our board and train program.
We still like to teach the dogs we have stay with us basic foundations like loose lead walking, calm place and controlled play.

Rocco π
Roccoβs first session on place, he is such a quick learner.
When itβs raining outside there are so many fun and important training exercise we can do inside.
We use place to help have a calm controlled environment.
Imagine being able to have guests come to the door and your pup just stays in place.
You can then invite them in and have a calm introduction.
Or your cooking in the kitchen and need that leg room to move around.
Place work is important π
If youβd like to learn how to achieve this message us and we will show you π
Sam π
Letβs talk engagement !
Why do we want our dogs to have good engagement skills ?
Well there are a few things but what I find the most important is when you have secured engagement with your dog it makes it almost impossible for them to defer to something else instead they refer to you for the next step.
They are literally asking you what can I do for you next or hey look Iβm listening to you.
With engagement your options for progression are limitless.
This is sam working on heal and loose lead walking not only am I impressed by his owners results but to see sam starting to engage with his owners is so pure !

There is nothing wrong with allowing your dog to be a dog π
Having your dog in a heal the whole walk is unrealistic BUT it is very important that your dog understands the rules.
Have completed of your environment
For this to happen yes your dog need to know heal and how to walk on a loose lead
All in all just have fun π
King dexy π
How often are you training recall.
We probably say ours dogs name 100 time a day but how many times do they respond
Reinforcing there name to crate a recall and practice this daily
I canβt explain how rewarding it feels to have a dog that listen anywhere, in any situation.
Practice your recall my friends ππ

PUTTING YOUR DOG IN A CAGE IS CRUEL !!!
This couldnβt be anything further from the truth
Dogs are den animals, in the wild they will choose to sleep in a nice cozy den, cave or hole they can find
This is proof of that
We left the crates open last night to test wether or not these two would choose the crate over being anywhere in the yard.
And I woke up to the both of them cuddling in the same crate. (The door was not locked they could have gotten out at anytime)
Koda practicing a Down stay π
Equipping your dog with a good down stay is a very realistic and useful command to have.
It all starts with trust
If youβd like to learn how to do this let us know @kingk9training
