Our first baby arrived on Saturday, 3 weeks early! It was a bit touch and go to start with but she’s a tough little cookie. Welcoming 𝙀𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝘼𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙖 𝙃𝙎𝙃 x 𝙀𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙗𝙖 𝙃𝙎𝙃 informally known as Kita after Richmond River Equine Veterinary Services dedication to getting her through.

Today our weanlings got a float ride around the block as the last part of their handling. It’s a job that’s been put on the back burner for a while and today it finally got done! Two of them had been transported previously and the third had never set foot on a float.

𝑰𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝑨𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒔 (pending) has always been cool as a cucumber which is part of the reason he’s been the last to float train. I must admit I was still shocked when he walked straight onto the float on the first attempt and stood there like an old pony clubber.

He, like our other 2 babies 𝑰𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒄𝒚 and 𝑺𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒈𝒖𝒎 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒃𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒐𝒑𝒚 𝑯𝑺𝑯 (pending) have had extensive handling but he has an incredible temperament and is the spit of his sire Kerranna Didgeridoo HSH

Well, today I had to say farewell to Alibi (again!)
Ali is the only foal from my beloved and sadly deceased mare Hope. I very reluctantly sold her as a weanling. Turns out that was the best decision I could have made as she likely would have perished in the floods had I kept her.

Her wonderful owner Emma came to collect her today and we both remarked on having déjà vu of the first time she came to pick her up several years ago.

I’m very blessed to have her Kerranna Didgeridoo HSH foal 𝑰𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝑨𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒔 (pending) to continue on with and am so grateful to Emma for letting me borrow her.

Today I had the pleasure of watching Kerranna Didgeridoo HSH compete at the FNC dressage Championships.
He is sired by our late stallion Kerranna Aritjuda LH and we have a weanling c**t by him and another foal due this season.
Didge was expertly piloted around by Jemma from New England Equine with lots of support from her partner Mathew, and son R***r.
I cannot give high enough praise to this lovely horse who conducted himself perfectly. He’s a genuine pleasure to be around. Thank you to Mathew and Jemma for also stealing my car and putting fuel in it for me as I’d forgotten my wallet!
