If you ever find injured or orphaned wildlife, it’s important to let us know the exact location where they were found. Here's why:

πŸ—ΊοΈ Getting Home Safely: Knowing the exact spot (like a cross street, pole number, or park name) ensures they can be released back into their familiar environment.
🌱 Keeping Wildlife Wild: Local wildlife relies on specific food, shelter, and resources found in their area. Helping them return to the right place is crucial for their survival.
🌍 Environmental Risks: If the area has potential dangers like predators, toxins, or habitat loss, wildlife rescuers can factor that into their care plan.

🚨 How You Can Help:
βœ… Note landmarks like pole numbers, cross-streets, or nearby features.
βœ… Take a quick photo of the area for reference.
βœ… Share any observations about their surroundings (like water, trees, or food sources).

Every bit of info helps our wildlife friends get back to where they belong.

πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ Huge Congratulations to the one and only Georgia for hitting an incredible 10 years with us! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Many of you know her as the friendly face behind our front desk, always greeting you with a smile and maybe a treat of two for your pets!

While she's keeping everything running smooth for the team, she's also a rockstar nurse handling everything from bandaging pets to being named our champion cat whisperer.

Georgia, we're beyond lucky to have you with us. Here's to another 10 years of making a difference, one wagging tail at a time 🐾❀️

Checkout this throwback of Georgia from 10 years ago to a recent snap from today!

🐾 Saying Goodbye to Our Beloved Migs 🐾

Today, we say goodbye to our sweet clinic cat, Migs, who is a cherished member of our team and family. She had brought much joy, comfort and love to everyone who met her, even when she would yell at us all for food.

In honour of Migs, we will be closing the clinic at 5:00pm today to give our team time to reflect and celebrate her life.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we take this time to remember our special friend.

Thank you, Migs, for all the love and memories. You will always hold a special place in all of our hearts. 🐾🐱❀️

Did you know dental disease is the most common health problem in cats and dogs, affecting 70% of cats and 80% of dogs over three?

Dental disease is progressive, and the early stages of dental disease are reversible. We aim to intervene early to minimise and delay the progression of dental disease.

We are changing the way that we do dentistry.

What does this look like for you and your pet?

Stage One: involves dental x-rays, a scale and polish to clean the teeth and charting of any dental disease. This is similar to an initial β€œcheck up” at a human dentist. All findings will be discussed with you in a discharge appointment with one of our veterinarians.

If diseased teeth are found during stage one, your pet will be scheduled for a stage two procedure within 1-2 weeks.

Stage Two: Involves dental surgery, which includes extraction of unhealthy teeth and stitching where required.

Both stages are performed under anaesthetic and a complete pain management plan will be tailored to your pet.

Dental staging has many advantages, including:

Two shorter anaesthetics are much safer than one longer procedure
There is a clear understanding between owners and your veterinary team going into stage two
The exact number of extractions is known and options for repair of teeth have been discussed if suitable and confirmed prior to surgery commencing
The cost of each stage is far more predictable. The total cost of stage one + stage two is no different to one combined procedure
