4.5months of waiting.... the day finally came. Bath and blowdry this morning then some time in the sun. This afternoon the reveal. Clipped both on a long blade as the nights are still cool. No you cannot clip paddock sheep like this normally. Poppy and Annie have been taught to be bathed, blow-dried and clipped standing since they were tiny. Also I stripped the lanolin, dirt and oils from their fleece with a hot water scrub this morning and they have a completely w**d free yard. That's the only reason a dog clipper will go through their fleece. Annie has changed colour with age but poppy is still super black. 10months old now. Both are feeling great this evening.

Well Today went to hell fast!!! I should have just stayed in bed! I will have to reschedule all appointments for tomorrow and what I didn't get to today. Unfortunately with leanne working full time we are now in great difficulty only having 1 car. Anyone got a spare car... even a bubble for a few weeks? Insurance won't cover rental and won't even look at my car till next week. Very very stuck now. Car had to be towed as the fuel tank was slashed. Thankfully no damage to my trailer. Aquaplaned on bend and slid off the side hitting the signs. The edge of the sign has slashed my fuel tank.

Overdue payments!

Late payments are getting out of control again and invoices need to be paid immediately!

I have sent multiple messages and payments have still not been received.

Sorry, but this is not acceptable. Payments are required prior to the visit or while I am there. There will be no more payments later.

Those that have been messaged, there will be a charge of $5 per day for every day your payment isn't received from today. I hate to do this, but have been left with no choice.

He looks like I feel.... fed up with the mud, cold and overtired. 15mins till we start day 3! No luck at all yesterday. Grounds are deteriorating but the committee and judges are trying their best to move courses to different rings and avoiding worst bogs.

Results from Day 1.

Dottie - Masters 500 Jumping Qualification 18th place (139 entries)

Snowy - Masters 500 Agility Qualification 22nd place (91 entries)

Scout - finally pulled his finger out and kept ALL the bars up - Novice 500 Jumping Qualification 19th place (98 entries)

Destiny - the wild and crazy creature dragged out of the paddock with bu**er all training - Novice 500 Snooker Qualification 40th place. (95 entries) This is a game where you partly set your own course to earn points in the opening sequence then finish the judges course in the closing.

Ready to go for Day 2 now. It's 6 degrees, frost and fog is just lifting at 8am. It's a bog and the mud is terrible. Not the greatest surface for competition. If we fault or DQ we will stop running to save risk of injury with surface and tired dogs. We will also pull out of runs if we feel it's too risky. So far the courses have been great and judges conscious of injury risk.

We are off to the Agility National in Sydney. I will be closed from Today until late next Monday. Back to it Tuesday at 6am but fully booked next week. I may not get back to messages until Monday while driving home. I will not be answering calls during this week. If it's urgent call and leave a text too and I will ring known clients or puppy owners back asap.
We will be competing for 5 days.
Dottie (on my trailer), Snowy her half sister and Dot's kids, Scouty (a lot of you have met him) and Destiny ( Little D). This will be Scout and D's first really big competition over so many days. It's actually Snowy's first National too as covid hit when she was 11wks old. Oh my goodness it's Dottie's first National too as our last was Victoria in 2018 and she was too young! In that case we won't be expecting too much of any of them but hopefully the big girls can get a few good runs in. Unfortunately we lost our great grandma Brisky 2 months ago suddenly and we were forced to retire Lyric(dot/snow's mum) at States last week. Lyric and Cherry or greyhound are home with Nanna keeping those naughty lambs and Snow's brother Digga in line. Lilly one of our first agility trainees is there too just to stir the pot and keep the place lively. We will try to post updates and videos.

Treasure your pets. Get vet care for them when it's needed. Keep them warm in winter, cool in summer and don't let them become overweight. Love them every single day and pay attention to what they tell you. You never know when they will be gone.

Thinking of desexing your puppy? THINK AGAIN. We always recommend waiting until AFTER the age of 18months depending on the breed before desexing. Vets will likely push you to desex at 6months. Resist them. It is in your dogs best interests to stay entire longer. There has been alot of research showing early desexing causes much higher instances of behavioural issues including separation anxiety, boredom behaviours, destructive behaviours, cancers, ligament and tendon injuries requiring major surgery, incontinence, shorter lifespans, obesity and muscle wastage. All my pups go on a contract that states the pup is not to be desexed before 18months. If you think about a 12yr child and how their body is shaped, undeveloped bone structure and muscle bulk, undeveloped organs etc. The hormones a child goes through as they hit puberty up until the age of around 18-20yrs completely changes their body and appearance. How would a person develop correctly if you took those hormones away?
Puberty develops the body to hold the entire skeleton, muscles, ligaments and tendons correctly to ensure everything functions as it should for the rest of their lives. Now if you remove the hormones from a 6month old dog think about what that does to their bodies. Dogs tend to be very active and put a lot of strain on themselves. Muscles don't develop to hold the skeleton, ligaments and tendons don't hold the muscles and bones how they should resulting in strains and pressure that can eventually lead to rupture or tears. One of the most common is cruciate ligament injuries. Women on HRT or IVF are said to have a higher risk of developing cancers. A lack of hormones in a growing body can cause the same in our dogs. Do your research, ask me for the research documents on the risks of early desexing if you feel the need. Whatever you do, be AWARE of what you are potentially putting your dog at risk of if you desex young. Being a responsible owner and locking up entire bi***es when they have their first 2 seasons/heats is truly not that hard. I have an entire male and entire bi***es living in my home and I have never had an unwanted or related pregnancy.

To my valued clients
Unfortunately due to worsening arthritis in my hands, I have made the difficult decision to reduce the amount of dogs in my grooming schedule. I will be reducing my my service area and unfortunately removing clients that tend to cancel scheduled appointments regularly. Those not on a clipping schedule and are only bathed bi monthly or longer may be removed as these dogs take a lot of extra work and strain on my body and hands.
I’m terribly sorry that I will have to do this to be able to continue my business. I Truely value your support and understanding. I will be messaging you privately if you are affected by these changes.

Good evening,

Leanne here. I just want to make it clear that if you are rude to Sam in any way, shape or form, when she is scheduled to groom your dogs, you will be immediately removed from the schedule and you will need to find yourself another groomer.

Sam has a massive schedule and tries to fit late comers in where she can, and when she is met with entitled attitudes, this makes her job very difficult and stressful.

Sometimes we have to change schedules as we do have personal lives and every now and then would like to go out, but we give plenty of notice and always send a message to see if you're available if we can groom your dogs earlier in the day or even the day before.

Noone deserves to be treated in this manner and there will be no second chances on this, sorry.
