An add I was hoping I'd never have to write 😪

Once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire a sensational stud book AFWHS 502 and CCSHA CC00075ST stallion. Calmar Maverick Ace of Spades stands approx 15.3hh and is 17yo. He has had an easy life and had the absolute best of care so should have many many years in him yet. He has been with us at Spierwood Sporthorses since I purchased him as a weanling.

He is the Ultimate gentleman, easily handled by kids and my non horsey husband can get a mare served solo with him. As quiet and gentle as they come, and passes this incredible temperament onto his progeny. Perfect for first time stallion owner. Can be housed and transported with and next to mares, zero issues. I needed to move him the other day and didn't have a halter - peice of bindatwine did the job. This is how easy he is 💕

He was started under saddle as a 4yo prior to starting stud duties. He had some light riding but really not much as I had 3 kids under 3yo (twins). I did take him out and about in hand to quite a few shows, always bringing home blues and broad sashes (including Adelaide Royal Show). Didn't bat an eyelid at sideshows etc nor the F1 fighterjets roaring overhead at the royal the day we were on. I can't see why he wouldn't go on to make a lovely riding horse now, would just need a re start because he was green broken and it has been so long.

He is a flamboyant mover for his size and puts a beautiful front on his foals. I will include some photos of some of the youngsters we have bred over the years. More photos on Spierwood Sporthorses page. All stunning, beautifully put together, fantastic movers with the most level head you could ever hope to find.

He can be tricky to breed with (picky, and timid at times), I will not sell him to someone who thinks they can just throw him in a paddock and mass produce. He is a sensitive soul and needs to be treated gently and calmly.

It is extremely hard to put a price on this gorgeous boy, I've never seen anything remotely like him and he is absolutely worth his weight in gold.

Adding some photos from 3 years ago that came up in my memories and are not on the phone I use now. This bloke will be advertised shortly, the last of the Spierwoods 😪 Have kept him for myself he is absolutely awesome but at 17.2 I have to be realistic. Just way too big, would mean all new gear, new float etc...

The beautiful Spierwood Seattle attended her first show last weekend and her owner and I couldn't be prouder 🤩

Finding the right homes for our specials is number 1 priority for me, we don't advertise very often and I patiently wait for the right home to come along. Most go via word of mouth or to people who have been watching our page and horses for a while. Im so happy with the wonderful job Kathryn and Ruby have done with Seattle and look forward to sharing many fun times ahead 🥰

First comp for the little lady.
She literally could not have been better behaved had she had another 20 years experience 💕
Stood at the float eating her hay and drinking without stressing that Peanut was coming and going to classes. Did not bat an eye lid
Didn’t worry with all the “fussing”. Found it all a bit unnecessary but she just stood quietly and took it all in.
There was bunting and loud speakers and lose ponies bolting around and she literally gave no effs, just picking at the grass or having a little sleep in the sun.
She was foot perfect in her workout, doing all the things asked of her like an old schoolmaster

Big Happy 4th Birthday to Spierwood Zambia 🤩💕 Adore this girl, shes currently away being started, absolutely cant wait to have her under saddle. Will be the first Spierwood ive actually sat on 👏👌 Been waiting so long for this, finally my own Spierwood youngster to keep ! fun times ahead.
