🌟 Welcome, Dr. Emily! 🌟

Some of you have already had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Dr. Emily, and we’re so excited to officially welcome her to our team!

Emily graduated from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW, in July 2024 and has since made the beautiful Adelaide Hills her new home.

Growing up on a farm near Walgett in Northern NSW with horses, sheep, and cattle, Emily developed a deep passion for animals early on. Her special interests include surgery and preventative health for both large and small animals.

When she’s not caring for your furry friends, Emily loves spending time outdoors with her partner and corgi and staying active in local sports.

We’re thrilled to have Emily on board—be sure to say hello next time you’re in the clinic! 🐾💙

🌟 Lucy has officially passed her first year of TAFE, taking another big step towards her dream career in animal care.

🌟 Mikayla has successfully completed her second year of veterinary studies, moving closer to becoming a qualified veterinarian.

We’re so proud of their hard work, dedication, and passion for helping animals. They’re both shining stars in our clinic, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!

We were so happy to have Ruby from Mavstar Photography come and do our staff photos ! So talented and such fun for all the staff (and pets)

It was a pleasure capturing Zoe and her team at the Vet In The Hills. I had previously captured Zoe at home with her beloved cows, it was lovely to see photos printed in the clinic from our previous photo session.

🐾 PET OF THE WEEK: Albert the Alpaca! 🦙✨

This week, Albert the alpaca made quite an impression when he visited our clinic after a little mishap during shearing. A wriggle at the wrong moment left Albert with an unexpected injury to a rather delicate area. Thankfully, Dr. Zoe and the team were on hand to patch him up and make sure he was back to his usual self in no time.

Albert’s procedure went smoothly, and he left the clinic not only feeling better but also two stone lighter! 🩺💪 He’s now ready to strut his stuff in the paddock once again.

We’re so glad we could help, Albert—you’ve certainly earned your spot as our Pet of the Week! 🌟🦙

🐐✨ Throwback to one of our most memorable patients – this brave little goat named Gretal! 🩺

This curious adventurer came to us with a broken leg, but with some expert care from our team and plenty of TLC, she was soon on the mend. Seeing unique patients like this reminds us why we love what we do – no matter the size or species, every animal deserves the chance to thrive. 💚

🐾 PET OF THE WEEK: Johnny the Brave! 🐾

This week, we had the pleasure of seeing Johnny, a handsome cat, who came in for his vaccinations. While Johnny was a bit nervous about the visit (as many cats can be), we made sure he felt as comfortable as possible. With some patience and a few chicken-flavored Feliway Calm snacks, Johnny started to relax and show us his sweet personality.

Using calming aids like Feliway snacks can make a big difference for anxious pets, and Johnny is proof of that! He did an amazing job and left us with lots of purrs and a happy tail. Great work, Johnny—you’re our superstar of the week! 🌟🐱

The clinic is gearing up for December and the clinic puppy dogs couldn’t help trying on some antlers for size ! We will be taking part in the pageant on the 12th of December, can you guess what our theme will be ?! 🎄🎄🎄🎅🎅🎅

🦆🐥 Just when you thought our patients couldn’t get any cuter… meet our brave little duckling patient! This feathered friend came in for a stitch up after a likely run-in with a curious chicken. Dr. Zoe and our dedicated team carried out delicate microsurgery to make sure our duckling friend is back on the road to recovery. 🩺💪

We’re happy to report it’s healing well and will soon be back to waddling around without a care. Thank you to our clients for trusting us with such special patients – we love every single one! 💚

🐾 PET OF THE WEEK: Meet Sally! 🌟

This week, sweet Sally visited us for hip and elbow scoring! Her owner, a registered breeder with the Kennel Club, brought her in to ensure she has no issues at this time which reduces the risk to puppies in the future.
To do this Sally had X-rays taken of her hips and elbows which are sent off to experts who provide a score. Her X-rays are on their way for evaluation…
We’re so proud to support responsible breeding practices! Sally was a total sweetheart and we loved having her in to visit
