Day 15
ENS & ESI completed
Today’s scent was Star Anise - all pups were neutral.

Here are some random photos. Mum and pups all feeding well and getting more active as their eyes open - and noisey.

A huge thank you to Katie's Pet Services for house sitting the crew and the pups while I was away in Sydney working.

All pupsters are fit and well and feeding.

ENS and ESI was completed. Today’s scent was Truffle. There mixed responses.

Portia is of course perfection in mothering.

Also a huge thank you to Peter Levett who continues to diligently care for the pups at night.

I’m very glad to home with the family 😀

Just watching Tv and I looked down to see this little 11 day old dude had climbed out of the whelping box for an extra feed on mum. 😳

The pups are rocking the weights as usual. 2 are just under 1Kg and everyone is btwn 1- 1100gms.

Today’s scent is Coffee. They are all coffee drinkers.

They are rocking the weights at between 850 & 990 gms.

Active healthy and content they sleep for hours and their mum is happy to leave them for a break.

ENS & ESI complete today’s scent was alpaca fur. They all loves it.

All pups and mum are in disgustingly good health.

They are powering in weight all in the high 800s today. Tapua Labrador Retrievers

ENS & ESI completed today’s scent was ginger and they all liked it.

Day two and the pups are thriving all the boys are over 500gms as are two of the girls. The other 3 girls are between 468 and 498 gms.

Portia is an amazing mum.

I have 1 yellow boy available in this litter. I’m going to need 2 baskets soon 🙄

I am so happy with these pups and their mum. There might be 10 pups but they are feeding well and strong as - barely 36 hours of life and they are rocking this feeding routine.

I have 1 yellow boy and 1 black girl available.
Sire and dam both have excellent hips and elbows and have both got full clear DNA.

All home and feeding well. Portia rather zonked but content and warm. Busy times ahead Tapua Labrador Retrievers

All strong and feeding well. We will managing feeding this litter in two rounds 5 on and 5 off.

And we have baby Labs. 10 strong babies 2 yellow and 8 blacks. I have no idea if genders yet.

All pups are solid and strong. It was an all night event plug released at midnight, waters broke at 230am. When nothing appeared by 430 am, and there were no contractions in we went to the fabulous Blayney Veterinary Hospital.

Mum Portia is in recovery and bubs are keeping warm until mum wakes up.

Breeder feeling a tad tired after an all nighter 😵‍💫.

Well we had X-rays today and there are definitely 9 but as usual there will be a couple more hidden somewhere I there. Busy times ahead Tapua Labrador Retrievers

Both the sire and dam are have produced multiples oporational ADs, truffle hunters, and performance dogs.

Thank you Mandy Sansom this was a total blast from the past.

This is me (cough!!!) 29 years ago and my Kelpie ‘Biddy’ ❤️she was well known in the NSW Kelpie scene in the mid 90’s.

I loved the old bag she saw me through many highs and lows incuding cancer.

So proud of this handsome dude, Tapua River Of Dreams H2:3 E0:0 Clear DNA. Black carrying yellow.

He has produced multiple Assitance, scent work and therapy dogs all his progeny are sound in body and mind. Teddy is a 4th generation of Tapua lines.

AKA Teddy, he is loved by Edwina and Jim Crossing at Angulong Vingard Panuara.

Teddy stands at stud at Tapua Labrador Retrievers Woodstock and is available to approved ANKC bi***es.

We anticipate a Teddy litter mid February 24.

Well that was Christmas done and dusted Tapua Labrador Retrievers for 2023.

Presents opened and appreciated, lunch was superb - Pete BBQ’d the Turducken and I did the roasted veggies.
